The aim of Radiotherapy treatment is to destroy cancer cells, while leaving healthy cells unaffected. To find out more about Radiotherapy, visit: http://bit.ly/2npdYy3
Radiotherapy affects everyone differently, which makes it's difficult to predict exactly how people will react to the treatment. Some people have only mild side effects but for others they are more severe. Before starting treatment, we recommend talking to your radiotherapy team about any likely side effects. Knowing about them can help you to prepare and to manage any problems.
Surface Guided Radiotherapy (SGRT) can be used to treat most cancers, but it is particularly useful for treating cancers of the pelvis. The benefits to patients include faster treatment, improved accuracy and reduced side effects.
SGRT helps ensure radiation is delivered safely - making sure the correct dose is administered to the correct area of the body by monitoring our patient’s position during their treatment. www.genesiscare.co.uk/sgrt

Most men with early prostate cancer have no symptoms at all, if you have any of the these symptoms, we recommend you talk to a healthcare professional. Regular prostate checks can help with early diagnosis, which is key to successful treatment. #MensHealth
