As lots of you might know from coming to shows and hearing me chat about it - me and the band are working on making a full length album for you! Very exciting times. As with all things, there are some costs involved, so I'm thinking about launching a little crowdfunder to help get this baby out into the world. If you would be up for donating to a crowdfunder for the album, would you like or comment on this post? What do you think of crowdfunder campaigns?

Do you like books and songs? Tomorrow evening I'll be playing a solo set at The Library, St Martin's Lane, in central London and talking to two of my favourite writers, SK Perry and Miriam Nash. Next week me and the band are going to be back here in this beautiful space, recording some tracks for you, and I am excited to say the least. Being an independent artist has a lot of challenges, the first being how to make a record for not much money. After recording our live videos at St Luke's earlier this year, I couldn't help feeling we didn't need a fancy studio to make a record, when this space was giving us such a beautiful sound. Working with Huw Bennett Rick Leigh and Danny Trouton on these songs over the last year has been one of the most rewarding creative experiences I've had, and I can't wait for us to try and translate what we've been doing live into something you can listen to anytime. Thanks to everyone who's supported us to get to this point (and all the people lending us gear). More soon Gx
