About Geoff Robb
Geoff Robb is a classically trained guitarist with a background in healing and his compositions blend together these threads and his love of Spanish and Celtic music. Current show is The Music of Trees.
Geoff Robb Description
Geoff Robb was born into a musical family and began performing as a street musician in his late teens and early twenties while travelling throughout Europe.
Since then he has played at several hundred weddings, concerts, parties and events across the UK and Ireland and performs on a guitar he made himself with the expert help of luthiers Richard Osborne and Cameron Mobbs.

He studied classical guitarist with Paul Gregory (winner of the International Segovia Prize), and has had tuition from many of the top classical guitarists and has a diploma in jazz. He has performed Vivaldi’s ‘Concerto for Lute in D’ (on the guitar) with The Bath Concertina Orchestra but works mostly as a soloist, playing recitals at arts festivals and guitar festivals across the UK and can often be seen as the ‘warm-up act’ for many international touring guitarists as they pass through Sussex.

Geoff is now based in Sussex and enjoys providing beautiful background music, both gentle and entertaining for weddings, corporate events and parties. He specialises in classical music from Spain and Latin America but also includes music that your guests will know and love including arrangements of popular songs.
He is also passionate about writing music – his compositions blend his classical training and interest in healing and meditation with his love of Celtic and Spanish music.

As well as looking after his 3 kids, performing and composing, Geoff runs the music agency Find a Performer which has over 1200 acts across the whole of the UK and Ireland ranging from classical and jazz musicians to covers bands, magicians, dancers and lots more!

Feeling very chuffed today after winning the Fringe Award for live music last night! Hoping it will really help to get more bookings with venues and festivals!
After many years in the making my 3rd studio album is now finished and I would like to invite you to come and celebrate with me at my launch concert! Multi-instrumentalist Nick Pynn will start the evening with a solo setin the intimate setting of St Mary's Church.
The crowd funding month is now over and I reached 114% of my target so ticket sales can now be via paypal.
The album is called The Burren and features 11 tracks - 9 original compositions as well as arrangements of W...ild Mountain Thyme and Black is the Colour. Most tracks are solo guitar but Granada features Nick Pynn on violin and La Primavera and Over the Hills are underpinned by double bass player Terry Pack.

Jane and I were delighted that Geoff was able to play at our wedding - he had to start a holiday late in order to do so! He helped us chose the perfect pieces for our service - do check out 'Romance' 'Prelude in D' and Sound of Bells'. Wonderful pieces, beautifully played. Geoff then played throughout our Wedding Breakfast, choosing a varied repertoire. He helped create a very relaxed atmosphere enabling everyone to chat yet we could listen and enjoy his music easily - and it was certainly enjoyable. Our wedding was a small family affair with only 40 guests and our day was certainly enhanced by Geoff's classical guitar playing. He was very professional throughout the process - from our first enquiry and throughout the day. We have no hesitation in recommending Geoff.
Geoff played for us at our wedding ceremony in May 2015 and he played beautifully. We requested for Songbird to be played during the registry which he learnt note perfect. The Spanish guitar was just wonderful and so many guests commented on the beautiful music. Thank you
Geoff played for our wedding in July and was wonderful right from the day I contacted him with an enquiry. He called right away and I knew we had found the right person. He kept in touch (something I found to be very important that not everyone does!) right up until our wedding day. On the day he was fantastic, so many guests commented on how beautiful the ceremony music was and Geoff had tailored it to exactly what we wanted. Geoff played at our wedding in September and was brilliant. All the guests loved the music, he played beautifully. He was very easy to deal with and helped us with the music - we picked the key pieces and he did a great job of choosing the rest. And the bit that you don't notice unless it goes wrong he got spot on - he was there ahead of time, organised and absolutely no fuss on the day.
Geoff played at our wedding in July 2015. From the outset he was very friendly and helpful and had an excellent selection of songs, we chose 2 songs we had in mind and Geoff was able to recommend plenty of others to suit our day. Geoff played at our daughter's wedding in July 2015. It was an outdoor venue with 160 guests and we wanted Geoff to provide background music for about an hour and a half as the guests arrived and enjoyed a glass of fizz and chatted together. He did a splendid job - and played a mixture of acoustic guitar music to suit the occasion. Many guests remarked on his playing skills and we were impressed with his repertoire.
