Try our spooky Prosecco! 🎃

We had my sons party there last night for the third year running! We can’t say enough good things about the staff or the parties. It’s unbelievable value for money for a week night package and we were more than happy to travel there from Lymm as it’s a bit different and like I say the kids always enjoy it.

We particularly liked the way the food came out in little boxes and the pizza in boxes. The kids felt so grown up! Much better than the soggy sandwiches and cucumber sticks you are served in much more expensive soft plays.

The only thing I think could be improved is that the outside play equipment looked very tired and in need of replacing basically. Not that it bothered me but some of them wanted to play after and I noticed it was shabby, which was a shame as it could (wrongly) put people off what’s inside.

All in all a fantastic effort by the pub and the staff. I’ll be coming next year �

Lovely meal for my son's 15th birthday. Fantastic service! Helpful friendly staff that went out of their way to make his birthday meal extra special! They even sang happy birthday to him! Highly recommend!!

Great, friendly pub. Very understanding with children. Lovely food, good selection. Rachel - helpful, nothing too much trying for her.

Been often recently, good food & well priced. Sometimes short staffed but service is excellent. Reccomended

Ate here tonight - we both had steaks which were cooked just to our liking - house salad could be improved upon however. Rachel, our server, was efficient and very helpful. Will eat here again any time.

Came into The George and Dragon this afternoon (Sunday 11th June 2018) for a meal and drinks for my Mum’s birthday. The food was lovely and came within 15 minutes and all came together, even though there was 7 of us. The portions were a more than decent size and a great price for everything you got. Aithne also brought out a birthday cake for my Mum with lit candles and was enthusiastic and more than happy to join in with singing happy birthday.



Have been many times before and the food has always been nice, especially when cooked by Chris one of their chefs.



The pub also had an upbeat, busy atmosphere with many other tables filled and a lovely baby shower going on. Will be back again I’m sure! �

Went for tea tonight food was good but very disappointed in dragons den my little girl wanted to go in but as we arrived in the dragons den it was 7.45 the lady behind the desk said it closes in 15 mins (we thought it closed at 9pm) we still had to pay the full price of £3.75 not even offering us a discount I think this is disgraceful I only paid it as it was a treat for my little girl I had promised her all week and didn’t want her being upset. It also states on your website £3.50 on a Friday for disco I think you need to change this as we got charged £3.75. They had enough money out of as all 4 of us had food and drinks!

Was here on Friday the staff didn't look like they wanted to be there one � of the staff had there our son there that was running behind the bar ect I left my son age 10&8 in the disco as was waiting for food and they was told they had to have adult with my daughter went to sit with them have been here lots of time before and they have been ok the staff really not happy about the service in this place ect

Would 100% recommend for a party but for normal play. I feel it's a little over priced for under 3's. Though both my children had fun. There's very limited simple food available for children. We got offered a sandwich from the other room but for the price we have left it and decided to dine else where after the chi ldren have tired themselves out. I'm sure that a lunch box option wouldn't break the bank and it would probably bring in more customers (just a sugestion)

Daughter had her party here in the play area. Was awesome. Staff were great. In the main restaurant its always a long wait for food as this pub is always understaffed. Also Food is usually nice but whatever they do with he steak is scandalous. It's chewy rubbery and like nothing I've ever tasted before and this is on two separate occasions. I recommend to stay away from the steak. The burgers are fab. Overall It's a great local pub/restaurant it just need more staff and something sorting with the Steak

Called for dinner on way back from Walton gardens because knew about play area outside as had grandchildren with us food was nice but the tables are a disgrace they need replacing and umbrellas outside all along that road they where the only place open at the time we called

Wouldn't eat there again, have been twice and the first time there were ants on the window sills and the second time flies everywhere. My little boy liked the play area though its quite expensive.

Sharing platter is poor quality.

Don't get a lot and not very tasty.

Dry tasteless checken, virtually 0 stuffing.



You get what you pay for, but will not be paying to eat again.

Just been it was empty no idea why food took so long also asked for no salad dressing came full of it, asked for no BBQ sauce on one came with it on my napkin was dirty so won’t be going again x

Ate here last weekend ordered a steak salad think it was about £10 for that I got 1 cherry tomato 2 slices of cucumber small amount of lettuce and about 3 pieces of pepper , I was provided with a steak knife I was unable to cut they the steak and gave up . I was sat at a table of 6 3 people complained and returned meals my daughter had scampi peas and chips the scampi was soggy peas cold and chip hard , thus is the first time I have ever had to go else were on my way home to get something else to eat ,

The only reason I’ve given it a 2 is because the place was in general clean and staff pleasant

Visited today with family and friends .. my husband stopped with our kids while I collected other memebers of our party on returning I went to the bar myself only to find the manager and a member of staff talking about my husband in a very distasteful manner.. disgusted ( and just to clarify he’s Scottish not Irish!) .. boasts an indoor play area but is actually separate from the pub itself as you cannot sit in the pub and allow the kids to play which is what you would expect so one member of our party had to sit in the play area the whole time .. even an older child in our party wasn’t allowed to supervise! One child was not allowed to play despite being the youngest (9) because he’s tall for his age so our party ended up being split up .. poor show for a family pub!



Unfortunately this was our first and probably our last visit

Came here first time and sad to say it will be my last! Come at 5 o’clock only a handful of ppl in took 2 hours for 2 ppl to eat it was a complete joke! Starters was ok then my main was cold only 2 staff working told the member off staff about my complaint to be told well we do only have 2 staff on .... erm that’s not my fault!
