Wonderful places food great lovely evening best places in Rotherham would have my weddings there if I was getting married again couples check it out great places

We've been in this evening for a meal and some drinks. The food was fantastic, the pre-starter and warm bread were a lovely little touch. The staff were brilliant, very attentive and polite. The chefs are doing an amazing job especially considering they've only recently opened. Carl who was on the bar was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to make us feel welcome and looked after. The place looks amazing, I remember the crofts being a fireplace shop, flats and most recently a pub and what they've done is nothing short of incredible. Every space has attention to detail at its heart, lots of little quirks and enclosed and cosy spaces. The terrace is gorgeous and on a day like today sitting out with a gin and taking in the atmosphere was lovely. I was transported out of Rotherham, felt like I was on holiday. Well done George Wright, you've created a beautiful hidden gem and we'll definitely be back. Now to find a babysitter!! ÔŅĹ Thank you for a lovely evening.

We popped in last Saturday, and again today, and had a lovely hour or so sitting on the terrace in the sunshine. We had a good nosey round, and a chat with Lewis the bar manager who is very knowledgeable about gin, beer, whiskey, well just about everything! The function room is a decent size, with a good outside space ( which I understand will have a glass roof eventually). The restaurant is at the lower level, and not yet completed, so this is still a work in progress, but I look forward to seeing the menu. This place has great potential: wedding venue; party place; town centre meeting place; restaurant etc. Many years ago someone ( can’t remember his name!), tried to revive the building as a gourmet restaurant, we tried it, and the food was good, but it didn’t take off. I have better hopes for this venture, I like what the owner did with the 1915 bar, and he has done the same with this, preserving original features and adding a modern slant.

We came on Saturday, what an absolutely beautiful place, staff were lovely, good choice of drinks and well priced, we will definitely be making it a regular experience. One small thing tho, it was quite busy and it took awhile to get served.

This was our first visit & it won’t be the last, it looks awesome all the way through. So relaxing and 3 nice courtyards to chill in. Looking forward to the music nights.

This bar has to be the most unique bar in Rotherham, the bar staff have an enormous amount of knowledge around drinks, and their preparation of the drinks is awesome. The building is a pleasure to sit in, really enjoyed sitting in the courtyard have a nice drink with friends, being served by staff who are professional, polite and whose first priority is your comfort, can‚Äôt wait for the restaurant to openūüĎćūüŹĽūüĎćūüŹĽ

Right if you want a bit of class in Rotherham Town this is the place. Fantastic regeneration of a building offering an amazing relaxed setting to enjoy food and drink with friends.

Had a wonderful afternoon and evening sat on the terrace yesterday sampling some amazing gin and tonics.

Fantastic friendly bar staff with a great knowledge of the drinks served. Bar staff who know and ubderstand and deliver friendly great customer service. great music playing out on the terrace. what more could you want for a meeting place with friends.

Gorgeous place and a credit to Rotherham! The staff couldn't do enough for you, one of the staff members (Alex I think his name was) was really helpful when I asked if they had a baby changer - which they yet didn't as its all new, but he kindly set me up a table with a towel in the disabled toilet for my baby. Thank you!!

First visit for me today. Already made plans to go next week & take friends with us. Beautiful building done to an amazingly high spec. Mark & his team are so welcoming. My new favourite place. Highly recommended!

Came in for a little drink in the sun and a bite to eat this afternoon and what a nice afternoon out. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and welcoming with great service. The building is stunning and there is a lovely relaxed atmosphere on the terrace. Came with a very critical grandma and she was very impressed!

Called in for a quick lunch today, staff were attentive, polite and nothing was too much trouble. Food spot on! We will be back soon.

Brilliant venue, the 3 terrace areas are ideal especially in warmer weather, makes you feel like you‚Äôre abroad, good selection of drinks, cocktails are brilliant, looking forward to trying some of the menu (sea-bass) the only thing i‚Äôd suggest is a later bar & Guinness, it‚Äôs a shame it closed relatively early as there‚Äôs nowhere else i‚Äôd rather drink in Rotherham than the GW.... Also thanks for my Singapore sling birthday drink, 1st time i‚Äôd ever tried gin, i‚Äôm now converted ÔŅĹÔŅĹ i‚Äôll be seeing you every Friday night

Beautiful venue. And great service the guy behind the bar was so lovely he went all the way to other room downstairs to get me a coffee shot to make an expression martini. :) They aren't on the menu but very tasty! Will be back lovely evening

Attended a 21st birthday party in function room downstairs which was lovely. Room was perfect for a party and even had its own private courtyard which was great to sit out in hot weather..food was brilliant and varied and I couldn't fault anything. Staff were friendly and organised and we all had a great evening. Would highly recommend.

A really smartly presented interior, contemporary and stylish. A lot of thought and commitment has gone in to the transformation of this once old ruin and the current owners should be proud of their achievements. Rooms are stunning, and have an air of peacefulness and will be a great escape in to your own sanctuary. Cannot wait to try out thr evening menu in the very trendy dinning area finishing of with a night cap on the terraces. Thank you to Mark for finding the time to show me and Sue around, and may I say it is fantastic some one has been willing to put their money where their mouth is, an inspiration to us all. Just been for breakfast and the standard of the food is outstanding along with the service, a few teething problems, offered use jam for our toast only to fine out they didn't have any but as a way of apology they give use our drinks for free ÔŅĹ we sat out side in the lovly sun to the sound of the water feature was heavenly. The lovly young man who was serving use very kindly tuck use on a tour of the bed rooms and building, it's just amazing! Thank you can't wait to come back agine
