Our clients are often in the process of implementing a software project which has a rugged hardware element. This might be touchscreens or handhelds on the shop floor or handhelds or tablets in company vehicles for example. Typically, clients who are implementing a software project to automate their paper-based processes, come to me for help selecting the right devices to gain maximum benefit from their project. Often much of their time is taken up with the software implementation and change management side of the project, therefore they don't have the time to spend sifting through the large number of rugged devices and specifications available.
