Hi - I'm Sarah and I have been teaching weaving for over 40 years, having trained in all aspects of textiles from weaving and spinning to sewing and dress making.
If you are an absolute beginner and want to know more about the art of weaving or spinning; or if you already know how to weave but are unsure on how to turn your handwoven fabric into a finished garment - then get in touch.

Nice sunny day...... and what I'm actually wearing! It's very cold today 🌣⭐ Jacket: woven on my 20in Ashford knitters loom, 7.5dpi, commercial woollen warp, handspun singles wool weft. This is my pattern GW JA001. Hat is a simple beret pattern, cowl is a short scarf with ends stitched together. I'm having fun making a sampler for next weekend at the Majacraft Retreat in Exeter.
Just home from a wonderful trip to Cyprus, beautiful beaches, flowers, buildings, and made a friend on the last day! Inspiration for some new weaving- to re-do the bedroom in white and blue.
I'm enjoying weaving a narrow band on my rigid heddle loom, it's semi warp faced so I'm using the heddle to make the shed but using the shuttle to push the weft into place. I find this much easier than inkle weaving! Cotton and tussah silk warp, 15dpi, cotton 4 ply weft, it's for the edge of a jacket 😊
Still weaving! I'm about halfway through now, it's taking longer than usual as we've had a proper summer! It's certainly chillier now so I can get on and finish this soon. Cotton warp, 10dpi, handspun wool and alpaca weft. GW T009 in my etsy shop www.etsy.com/uk/shop/GetWeaving
