Gillybee Designs Description

My name is Gilly and I have been sewing and crafting for the last 40 or so years! I make stuff. I opened my shop on the 10th October 2015 selling my makes and stock around 1200 carefully chosen gorgeous fabrics for crafts, quilting and dressmaking, with pretty ribbons by the metre and buttons. I have a great range of haberdashery and also stock upholstery and curtain making supplies at competitive prices. I’m a proud stockist of Prym and Zweigart linens and aida.
My speciality is making beautiful bespoke roman blinds for my customers. All carefully handsewn using fabrics from my Clarke & Clarke range. I am also happy to quote for roman blinds made in your own choice of fabric. I run sewing classes and workshops for all abilities and sewing cafes on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturdays providing expert guidance on your choice of project. Juki sewing machines are provided for your use along with overlockers, coverstitch, a huge cutting table and pressing facilities. I am also a stockist of Juki, Britannia and Alfa sewing machines. Come and shop in a relaxed atmosphere with free parking adjacent to my shop and avoid the hassle of shopping in Norwich City. . . . . . . !

Just to let you know, the new courses and workshops are available to book either in the shop or online - we can take payment over the phone too. Lots to choose from running from June - November. Juki are increasing their prices of their sewing machines from the 1st May 2019. If you were thinking of buying one in my shop, please place your order by no later than Tuesday 30th April 3pm. The Juki 80 (which is used in class) is increasing from £399 to £469. Wouldn't want anyone to miss out!

My new Friday morning Sewing Cafe starts on the 22nd March 9.30am - 12 noon at the GillyBee Sewing Room. This is where you can choose your sewing project, and with guidance from me along the way you will create beautiful things. (the only thing I don't have space for is curtains and blinds) This isn't for absolute beginners but you will receive plenty of help as I only have a maximum of 6. There is a large table, Juki sewing machines, overlockers and a coverstitch along with pressing facilities. It's my sewing sanctuary where you can sew, meet new friends and chill - sewing is great therapy. Call me if you are interested, 01603 716140, there are still spaces.......£15 per session, £45 for four sessions. Free parking right next to the shop.
