We had the best weekend away staying in this beautifully restored country hall. The staff, food and ambience made our weekend a very special Christmas treat, the location is perfect for shopping and walking on the beach.

Very helpful staff, lovely old building with great decor. The maintenance guy even gave us a jump start in the morning which got us out of trouble! Far better than the chain hotels that my work usually put us in.

We attended a Christmas Fair at Gisborough Hall which had a great range of different stalls and exhibitors. It was easy to get to and parking was readily available. Would definitely attend further events here

Gisborough Hall is a beautiful place with such lovely helpful staff! I have been here three times now, for an evening meal, afternoon tea and spa treatments. I can't think of a single complaint at all. The staff are polite and nothing is too much effort. The food is amazing and the surroundings gorgeous. Most recently I've had afternoon tea with my partner. I had a tradition one and he had a gentleman's one, both of which were lovely. Couldn't recommend this place more!

A beautiful and well turned out hotel. My only disappointment was the breakfast. Staffing issues meant that getting seated was slow, about 10 minutes. I then waited 20 minutes for the coffee and toast to arrive. When the breakfast itself arrived the quality of the food was good, but the amount was poor. There was only a single sausage, and it was half the size of a regular one! The apology for the delay was perfunctory, but I suspect the ladies were just so tired of having to say it to everyone.

We stayed at Gisborough Hall for 3 nights of our honeymoon and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

The food was outstanding and the staff were very helpful and gave us first class service. The room was very beautiful and kept spotlessly clean.

We found Gisborough Hall to be the perfect place for adults to have a relaxing time.

Booked for two night stay for our wedding anniversary. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff very helpful and friendly, room excellent with welcome anniversary chocolates and wine in the room. Good food and altogether would recommend this hotel.

WARNING to hikers of the Cleveland Way. This hotel is NOT near the trail as they claim to be. They told me they were right next to the trail. The hotel is 1.4 miles from it, so that will add nearly 3 miles to your walk. The breakfast is not included and will cost you another £15.95 per person. The eggs were inedible for both of us. There are lots of non cooked choices. The room was spacious, but not worth the extra mileage nor expense.

Had a series of business meetings here. The staff are super friendly - the owners super tight! The hotel has a nice feel and view. However the coffee comes without biscuits and the lunch menu and sandwiches are average at best. There just wasn't enough choice or enough on the plate when the food arrived.

Perfect stay. Superb period property, nice rooms, quality beds and bathrooms, pleasant staff, and good breakfast offering. Couldn't fault. Nice retreat.

A favourite hotel of ours; quiet with character; in easy reach of the moors and the sea (Whitby). The food is good hotel fare and the staff always friendly and helpful. We always look forward to visiting.

Visited for a wedding. Rooms were great, however service at the bar and in the restaurant could be a little faster. Staff all very friendly and welcoming.
