Glenview Farm Equestrian Description

We are an equestrian mother and daughter duo with over 70 (combined! ) years of riding experience. We both work full time in very different jobs as well as running our friendly yard of competition horses. Jane (Mother) has a lifelong passion with horses and evented up to intermediate level, she said she'd stop at 40 but now at 50 shows no signs of waning! She competes a warmblood X Appaloosa Spot on Time, he's pretty memorable and is usually faultless until it comes to hacking out at home! Alice is in her 20's and has ridden from day 1 but wasn't remotely competitive until she brought her quirky horse Mr Blue Sky, he's an Irish Sports Horse with a lot of thoroughbred blood, their journey hasn't been easy but we've come out the other side even stronger. We also have a couple youngsters we're bringing on to compete. Follow our Equestrian journey, blog to come soon. J & A.

~Haleo~ 15.3/16 hh 7yr old chestnut TB gelding owned since 3 yrs old . Carefully produced ready now to seriously compete . Been to dressage/ SJ / arena Eventing competitions and XC schooling , bold careful jump , easily BE / BS . Can be quirky so not suitable for a novice. Lovely horse open to sensible offers around Β£3,000 to right forever home.

Pony spam 😁 literally the best start to the weekend, worth the 5.30 start. Ghost's first time to the beach too and he was amazing. Gotta love these Irish horses πŸ€ Jane Morris Alice Lamming

On #worldhorseappreciationday I am thankful to Blue who taught me to be determined and have stickability! And to Del who taught me how to trust.

For loan as a companion/hack. Blue 13YO ISH. Blue is a fun and forward going hack, can be sharp so not suitable for novices. Cannot be jumped or competed. May consider LWVTB but the best home is most important, he's easy to keep and good to handle. Based near Redruth, Cornwall, would prefer him to be kept locally or can be loaned from our yard.

A great article from Mark Todd, I do wish that thoroughbreds weren't so easily disregarded as they are brilliant athletes and wonderful horses.

A fun day in the sun for the Threewaters Halloween fancy dress show jumping, both boys jumped brilliantly with just 1 pole across 4 classes! Del and I jumped our first metre and wow he is class πŸ‘Œ

"When curiosity asks, what's ahead? And fear says, let's go back, Exploration says, lets find out"
It's been a strange week old week...
Mum and I had a brilliant lesson with Sarah Thorne last night thanks to Threewaters Riding Club Sarah is great and really helps to address those little quirks in your riding that make a whole lot of difference.
... I then got up early this morning to lunge Delaney in the dark much to his dismay, as we now have lights. So winter may just be doable!

This little Connie is very special, stood like a rock whilst Alice galloped past several times .... look out Jaspee you might just lose that top space in my heart !

Having a play with Delaney in the field tonight, such a fun little horse πŸ˜ƒ mum was filming from 4 year old, Ghost who didn’t bat an eyelid as we cantered past!
Sad that this time next week it’ll be too dark to ride after work πŸ˜•

An interesting day at the Festival of the Horse qualifier today, we jumped the 90 track, rolling a few poles SJ which is something I'm going to be working hard on over the winter!
Then sadly got our first elimination as we jumped the wrong fence XC, slightly frustrating as it was flagged wrongly when we walked it but also my fault for not double checking the course plan this morning.
However Del was a pro jumping the combinations and was not far off a very quick optimum tim...e which means I'm getting his fitness work right!
πŸ“Έ thanks for the pics Clare Penberthy
