Sustainability is all about risk management. Tackling global challenges requires an integrated view of the world and an understanding of risk, leadership, resources, technology and societal response.

There is an increasing and urgent need to develop and deliver practical solutions to global sustainability challenges. While international politics attempt to put a sustainability framework in place, regions, organisations, cities and individuals are taking a lead in the response.

Our Global Sustainability Institute (GSI) plays a critical role in allying academic disciplines from across Anglia Ruskin University together with business and governments. The resulting knowledge creation, development and implementation will be globally extended by regional partnerships; partnerships enabled by interdisciplinary research programmes; Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and consultancy.

We also run a Professional Doctorate programme allowing professionals to continue to work full-time whilst tackling sustainability challenges, and we are involved in a number of Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs).

This is a glimpse of our capability; our overarching aim is to support you to deliver sustainability solutions to some of today's global challenges.
