Great news that the Pearl Border Fritillary is still around, one up for farming !
Some very good videos on the management of Veteran Trees.
This is probably the best moment when you are carrying out survey work for the butterflies you are trying to help. What a result, keep up the good work
Exciting opportunity going at Overbury in Tewkesbury.
Its a bit extreme and i think probably took more than a ladder and strong pair of hands to erect but look at those little babies. If you would like a more conventional bird box get in touch with Raptor Aid. They have supported at events last year on Traditional Orchard Management and have a passion for rescuing and educating on Raptors. #jimmyhill #Raptoraid #natureatitsbest #traditionalbirdbox
Really looking forward to sharing this Video with you, Gary was one of our judges for the Silver Pintail award last year and has a fascinating knowledge and understanding of wild pollinators. If you are looking at getting as many of these insects attracted to your orchard i suggest you get in touch with #GaryFarmer #Valelandscapeheritagetrust
Can you make the walk? book now to avoid dissapointment
Fascinating video on the patterns of heat shown up using a thermal camera. Bats needs lots of conservation in times of climate change and the development of old housing and barns.
keep an eye out for rare species you can make a record of this on living record or GCER

An interesting scientific approach to spreading manure, turn it into compost and the effects are better all round. More carbon sequestered, better for the atmosphere and for the ground it's being spread on. Don't waste it compost it!
Always take the advice of professionals before 'rescuing' wildlife
Deadwood habitat, however you see it is so precious to our landscape.
Come and learn some new skills and support your local wildlife team this Bank Holiday Monday! see you there.
Its so important to get more trees planted in our landscape, Glos Vale used to be covered in trees and now with the threat of Ash Die Back we are looking at even fewer trees on the horizon. Its never too late get out there and plant up as soon as possible, dead wood invertebrates are depending on you not to mention the birds and wildlife that feed on them !
Never too soon to get those bird boxes up and Raptor Aid does a great job of supplying them for us! please kep support this group as it does so much for our willdife. You wont be dissapointed!
