It's Dementia Action Week! We're working hard to make sure that Gloucestershire Archives is a dementia friendly and welcoming place because the ‘emotional memory’ stays with people living with dementia long after the memory of the visit may have gone.

Next Saturday, 1st June, come along to the Heritage Hub at 2pm for an afternoon of bugs, beasties and creepy crawlies! Help take part in a bug hunt and bio-blitz and see what wildlife is present in the heart of #Gloucester, as part of our #ShrubHub campaign. Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust

Can anyone tell us which Glos police station this is/was? It's come to light because our new police archive volunteer is compiling a list of all the county's police stations, and their locations. All suggestions gratefully received!

We have a new temporary entrance which to confuse matters was the entrance before the build started!! As you come through the gate off Clarence Row turn left, walk alongside the Dunrossil Centre into the garden and then follow the signs. Our proper new entrance is coming soon.

#Wayback Wednesday School Logs, focuses on Bibury School (S44/1) and emphasises absenteeism; 'Fred[eric]k Smith sent home to get his hair combed. Did not come back.' Well this isn't surprising is it? Forced to have his hair combed, the indignity! Outrageous.

Last chance to book onto the mystery tour with John Chandler on the 9th June! It promises to be a great day out, but where will you be going...?

In preparation for our Bug Hunt & Mini bio-blitz, we have been trying to identify creatures in our garden. Can you name this handsome beast? (The event will be on from 2pm - 4pm on Saturday 1 June at the Gloucestershire Archives)
