Absolute joke got there and bought a pair of pants from the men’s section I thought they looked like women’s so I asked the women “ are these women’s pants” she replies “no definitely not” got home and turns out they are absolute joke

Great choice of walking boots and all staff were really helpful and friendly.

Went to buy waterproof pants for daughters school trip, got them waited ages to be served and then told they was £30 unless we got a loyalty card then they’d be £17 and as we’d already queued up for ages we didn’t fancy holding everyone else up.
If they can be sold for £17 that’s the price they should be. Poor policy, will not be returning

I like Go outdoors but sometimes it's a bit tricky trying to find a member of staff to help.

Wanted to buy a t-shirt for a man's Christmas present, but was told there was only odds and ends left. The T-shirt I bought had a flaw on the back and only had a pound knocked off. Also, they had ONE waterproof jacket with a robust hood for bad weather. The rest had flimsy hoods unsuitable for hiking in the wet. As a woman shopping in there, the female staff are unhelpful and walk away as if they are bored. They do not look up from what they are doing and do not even pretend to be interested in what you want!

I recently spent just over £200 on a water proof jacket. It was too small when I tried it on at home so returned it to Wigan store. The manager, when I asked for the next size up, started shouting at me in front of customers and stated that it was the first rule in retail not to accept any returned goods. He stated that there was an alleged stain on the sleeve and that he would have to throw it away however it turned out to be a dust print but he could not be bothered to brush it off. He rolled up the jacket in a very heavy handed manner, put it in my arms and turned his back on me and walked away not at all interested in discussing the matter. So if you want a service that lacks customer care, an aggressive manager as well as being very unhelpful then I would recommend Go Outdoors Wigan . I went to Standish Mountain shop instead to purchase outdoor clothing and experienced a much more professional attitude

Good service and always somebody about when you want them. Large selection of outdoor products, tents and fishing equipment.
Used to have a specialist angler when it first opened but now has bags in it.

A specialist bike sales and repairs is new.

It is middle of everything cos their prices are little bit expensive. By the way they letting people their club card.

Go Outdoors has a huge range of products. The Wigan store is massive and a plus side to being a member is that they price match and then give you 10% off (the matched price). The staff know what they're talking about and are very helpful....if you don't know what you want etc.
