Go Outdoors

Two stars for clearly a comprehensive range. We drove 8 miles to get to the store only to find that we had to pay £1 to park! Apparently we could get the pound back if we shopped in Sainsbury's on the same site why not introduce a similar scheme? So our experience wasn't going well, Then we discovered that we had to purchase a Discount Card value £5 to take advantage of the prices that had attracted us in the first place. I thought this type of retailing had gone out with The Ark So not massively impressed. Oh and by the way the pair of walking shoes that your marketing engine has been bombarding my laptop with where not available! I was looking for two pairs of shoes and my wife wanted one pair of walking boots all to be purchased elsewhere.

Just drive 25 miles to collect a reserved order after receiving e mails to say it was ready to be collected.

Arrived into the Poole store to be toldit was already reserved by someone else and therefore the one they had in stock couldn't be sold. Even though this person had no paid for it?!

Sales assistant useless and store manager offered no help what so ever.

Ended up walking out of the store with nothing ... shame as I used to use this store lots.

We go here so often its just become known as 'The Shop'. Great selection of outdoor clothing and equipment, from their very cheap own brand ranges up to pro level big brand Berghaus, Rab, etc. Lots of stock, good website, and a price match promise that I have used several times - if you can find the same item in stock cheaper elsewhere on the net then they will beat that price - just take the web address with you so they can check it at the til. Mind you, it is usually almost impossible to find the same thing cheaper elsewhere as their prices are so good. Get a discount card - its a no-brainer - for a fiver you get loads off, will usually pay for itself on your first purchase.

I went in this store for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It is huge and the choice of products is immense! It sells literally everything to do with outdoors from cycling, rock climbing, walking to camping and kayaking. It's selection of tents suits everyone from a music festival 2 man tent to a family size tent ideal for a camping holiday. The staff were friendly and attentive too. You will not be disappointed by a visit to this store. Prices are competitive too.
