VERY poor customer service to state the least
I asked to speak to a manager/supervisor of the camping department as the young lady wasn't able to help much, once he turned up I asked why the HiGear Oasis 8 which was purchased and returned was £150 MORE than the new 2017 HiGear Oasis Elite 8 and the reply was "because of the colour", I asked "so what's the difference between the two" and was given the answer "the colour", I then asked why the HiGear Oasis 8 Elite Bundle was only £30 more than the returned Oasis 8 and again was given the reply "the colour".
Then told that the tents that are usually displayed outside were taken down due to "the wind and rain"

And finally, quite a lot of items never had prices!
I don't blame the sales assistants but as for management, think he needs retraining.

It's a fairly well stocked outdoor chain store retailer with a discount loyalty card scheme. I can usually find what I'm looking for from fishing to climbing to walking and everything in between. They have own brand products as OEM branding and they used to have North Ridge, but also stock all major outdoor brands it seems.

Lots of options for gear but it is often very expensive with a very weird discount card scheme. Apparently the card lasts a year but it definitely doesn't seem to. The staff are a little hostile, possibly because they are bored out their minds!

Friday 28th July 2017
7-05pm Just been to LOUGHBOROUGH GO OUTDOORS. 3 children sitting in a shopping trolley playing and being pushed around by an older child with no adults insight.
Had a word with one of the staff about how dangerous this could be for them and GO OUTDOORS, i was told it was the responsibility of the adults with them and nothing to do with him. Pointing at the sign on his shirt, i asked him who he worked for. With no answer to my question i explained that being employed by GO OUTDOORS he is a representative for the company. NO RESPONSE AT ALL. I left as he walked off in the opposite direction, leaving the children still playing in the trolley. WELL DONE GO OUTDOORS.

Many of the items advertised on the website were unavailable, so my twenty mile drive was met with a lot of disappointment.
I applied for credit which I was accepted for, only for the staff to completely mess it up, they didn't seem to know how to use their own app, which they use for this option, they had to cancel the credit agreement, then i had to reapply, I was again accepted, once again it was messed up by the staff, after an hour and several telephone calls to the finance company we decided to give up, they do not seem to know what they are doing when it comes to credit or finance, I eventually purchased three items, two of which were more expensive than advertised, so keep a look out for that, paying by credit card will turn out costing me more in the long run, so not a good experience.

Nice big place sell every thing from camping to good water prof cloths to bikes fishing foot wear walking boots etc

Thoughtless and slovenly attitude of young female cashier.More interested in drinking from pop bottle whilst serving , leaving my £100 purchase screwed up on counter and making no attempt to fold it for me. I had to fold the garment myself whilst she held a conversation with her colleague. Not even offered a carrier bag to leave the store with. Terrible customer service.

Very good service from the cycle department. And after an intermediate service of my bike, I am racing again without any problems! Quick, reliable and very knowledgeable staff. ! And all for a a very reasonable price.
