Cornwall Guidebook, 2018 Edition. Herewith, the new cover and after driving half way across the country to my designer to deliver the final text I took advantage of a beautiful evening to walk Salar beside the River Torridge. Such are the compensations for a travel guide publisher/photographer.
Falmouth Working Boat Festival. I was invited onto the St Agnes, a 45 foot sailing craft for a days sail around the harbour. There was little wind, bright sunshine...what impressed me was the view of Falmouth's Frontage. Perhaps, like Venice, the true way to enter this famous old seaport is by sea.

Port Navas is a hidden gem on the Helford. All the better at dawn when the creek's trees reflect their overhanging branches. The new cafe in the Sailing Club is now run by my old cricketing mate Nigel Logan and I am informed the food makes a fine repast.
