Went for the first time with friends. It was busy but we found one last table. The service was really friendly and helpful and our food arrived quickly which I wasn't expecting given the amount of people. Food was really good and the atmosphere there really friendly and welcoming - and there was even a pretty good covers band playing.
We had our summer leaving do here, what a great night had by all, the music great, bar staff amazing the ambience pleasant, the open space in the pub and garden which left lots of space to move around would def recommend this little gem .
Very pleasantly surprised..As far as I can make out, the best pub around these parts..We ate some simple, but very well made food (two courses) and was looked after very well by the nice chap behind the bar..Staff great, great decor (some real effort has been made), good atmosphere and I still can't quite get my head around just how cheap everything is..Example, £6 for an Old Fashioned.
Was given a complimentary homemade sausage roll, which was the icing on the cake..(And was exceptionally scrumptious)
Stumbled across this pub walking one Sunday afternoon, pleasantly surprised, we had our dog and it was nice that he was able to be inside with us. We ordered 2 x roasts and they were very yummy, definitely will visit again next time we are in the location
I had houmous to start and cheese burger and fries.. Fabulous! Great wine too...
Great pub, quite cheap with very nice garden. Been there few times with my friends and my family. Both times had a great time. They even have some board games, which after few pints are a great laugh! Will be back.
A very community orientated pub: Penge Pong and Penge Food Assembley were happening when I was there. I've visited twice and have been impressed both times. Yummy food, great atmosphere and staff who know all about excellent customer service. I'll be back soon!
Local pub, friendly people who remember me and my alcohol preference
Great place to catch up with friends, or grab a couple of drinks after work. The home made sausage rolls are great, but I wasn't blown away by the burger - food a little on the expensive side perhaps. Friendly staff, and drinks prices very reasonable. The garden is lovely on sunny afternoons / evenings.
