Good Foundations Day Nursery

Today the Explorers took a trip to Stonebridge City Farm! They loved looking at all the animals, had fun playing on the park, they also fed the animals and held some Guinea Pigs too 😁

Today to celebrate the beginning of the Easter holidays, the Adventurers made their very own little nest cakes. Using chocolate, cornflakes and little marshmallows. Each child took it in turns to individually scoop some chocolate cornflakes out of a bowl and place it into their own paper casing before adding the finishing touches of marshmallows, with of course them taking a few handfuls of chocolate cornflakes to eat.

As it is the first day of Spring some of the Discoverers took a trip to the recreational ground to enjoy the sunshine and collect some flowers and leaves. We had lots of fun playing games and racing each other aswell as meeting some dogs along the way.

Don't forget, on Monday 18th, we are celebrating St Patrick's Day and the colours are green, orange and white. Please feel free to dress your children in any of these colours 😀

Today to celebrate World Book Day, the Adventurers took part in a juice bar and fruit station. Using their taste buds to try out the different types of fruits and the different types of juices. These fruits was: Apple, banana, kiwi, oranges,melon, red and green grapes, lime and lemon. With Apple, orange, tropical and mango juices. Each child took it in turns to try each different item from the table.

Today we celebrated world book day by dressing up as our favourite book characters and reading our favourite books.

Don't forget that tomorrow is world book day and to come dressed as a character from your favourite book aswell as bringing in a book from home to share at story time!

In the Discoverers Room we are focusing on Chinese new year all this week as part of our weekly topic. We have turned the home corner into a five star Chinese restaurant (Bookings only) and we have been busy this morning making a Chinese Dragon from boxes and creative materials.

Don't forget that tomorrow is Chinese New Year and to come dressed in red and yellow :)

In the Preschool Room the staff have set up an under the sea tuff spot for all the children to come in to for Monday morning!

Today in the Discoverers we have been busy making potions! Our topic for this month is the story Hansel and Gretel, so we have all been making potions just like the wicked witch in the story!

Happy New Year! We would like to wish back all of you and hope you have had a fantastic Christmas. Our next event will take place on the 5th February and we will be celebrating Chinese New Year. Please come dressed in red and yellow and each of the rooms will have various activities set out throughout the day and there will be traditional Chinese food for the children to try at meal times.Thank you :)

My two grandsons have had fantastic care at Good Foundations. A super nursery in every way

My son loved it here and we were very sad to leave when he started school! Lovely staff with a friendly atmosphere. Will be taking our daughter here when it's time for me to return to work!!

My daughter has been going to Good Foundations since September and she absolutely loves it. Staff are so friendly and always make children and parents welcome. Always help when you are struggling with childcare etc. I am told each and every day how my daughter has been through the day and what she has eaten etc. Fantastic nursery and I would highly recommend thank you for all your help xx

If Carlsberg made nurseries... my son loves it here, couldn't be happier!

I have loved looking through our girls learning journeys tonight. Thanks for everything ladies. The girls will miss you all ;-) ;-) ;-) xxx

Excellent nursery and lovely welcoming and caring staff. Defiantly worth looking into if your in need for child care.

All 3 of my children went to Good Foundations & absolutely loved it (apart from the mashed potato apparently! ). As a Mum I never worried about them while I was at work-the staff were so caring & the ethos within the nursery was wonderful. Would absolutely recommend it!

Absolutely lovely Nursey my daughter has been going there for a few months now and she loves is it! Always doing something different with the kids and all the ladies that work there are lovely!�
