Carvery was amazing. Beef was so tender. Well done
New owners and new menu. Interesting layouts within for various events etc and interactive pods to help keep the children entertained!
Lovely carvery although I would advise to go more lunch time as food is fresher. The meal and desert offer for 4.95 is brilliant I was expecting a lite meal for the price but it was a full size, great choice to choose from and for an extra £1 a wide range of drinks to choose from. A regular customer for food.
Food was mediocre, seven of us seated but the first were finishing as the last were handed their food. Prices were good for food and drink. The "Yorkshire stack" was nothing like the menu showed. It was three sausages layed on top of a small scoop of mash on top of two frozen ready made Yorkshire puddings. The menu showed an impressive food tower with the sausages through the yorkies. Overall a step down from weatherspoons.
Food service appalling our starters arrived with main meals???? Then taken back only to be fetched back out cold. Food practicality thrown onto table. No salt and pepper pots available. Short staffed waiter practically running around like a headless chicken.
Will never go back.
Sat in one of the booths and my 2 year old thought the colour changing lights were fantastic. Food was nice and hot, and it was fairly cheap. My only gripe is the limited choice of drinks for little ones.
Extremely disappointed. This was one of my favourite pubs to go to, and I have recently bought a house nearby so I was happy to have that as our local. Unfortunately nothing seems to be happening anymore. Me and my partner visiting on my birthday and it was dead! It was a Saturday night and you could barely hear the music. Before we had our child, we used to go every Saturday night and do the pub quiz and apparently they don't even do that anymore, if it's new owners, then they need to sort it out before the pub closes for good.
Nice atmosphere, asked for the cottage pie with crisscross chips, but no crisscross available, although I passed several tables with them. Food arrived no peas and carrots as advertised and the chips with the cottage pie were cold. The cottage pie was okay but came as mince in a bowl with a slop of mash on top, not very appealing.
Absolutely fab place, always had a good reputation, I've always found it OK. . Except tonight, don't get me wrong everything was great.. It was a wake. . Can't fault them apart from the chef's smoking in their work uniform, I'm a smoker myself which is how I spotted them.. but in their cooking gear doesn't look good!!
We have been here for a funeral. Great value and wonderful service. We have been looked after really well . Thank you so much.
Ordered carvery but had to wait as ran out of two of the three meats and very little choice of vegetables. Other guests at the table with me ordered food and waited at least 35 minutes with no explanation or apology offered during wait or on eventual delivery of food
A nice family pub, food is of reasonable quality. Decor is a bit odd, but it's a nice place to be.
The service was slow. They allowed us to order and pay for food they didn't have in. The tables were dirty and full of dirty plates even tho the pub was quiet. When the food eventually arrived it was cold, tasteless and not cooked how asked. I would not visit again and wouldn't advise anyone to either absolutely shocking and not worth the money.
