Gorilla Sheds

We completed this 12 x 8 summer house (winter house?) In Billericay today. The doors and windows have been made 10cm taller than our standard doors as our client wanted to l get as much light as possible into the shed. We made each of the doors 5cm narrower than normal to enable us to keep the size of tge door glazing and the windows all the same size. It gives a nicer aspect. The doors are fitted with continuous hinges to give a nice clean look to a very contemporary design.

On Monday we took a trip up to Liverpool to the Dovedale Primary School where we installed two storage sheds and one of our Tuck-Shop sheds. When the school ordered the sheds we advised them that we need a flat, firm base for the sheds to go onto. Although they look flat, playgrounds are rarely level so based on our advice the school upgraded the floors to our heavy duty, fully framed floors which we are able to level as necessary. It's a good thing that they took our advice because all three of the sheds needed levelling which we were able to do and therefore complete the work. Without the heavy duty floor frames we would not have been able to put the sheds up. The pictures show the process and the completed 10 x 8 tuck shop shed.

Our 10 x 6 pent shed. This is the heavy duty version, it has 16mm finished thickness cladding, 38mm x 63mm C16 (structurally graded) framework, a 16mm tongue and grooved floor and has been finished with Barrettines Nourish and Protect timber treatment. Delivered to a client Rayleigh, Essex. The total cost was £848.00 delivered with free installation.

This is a cracking shed/summerhouse combination. It's got an overall size of 16' x 10' or 4.8m x 3. but its divided into two. the door to the left leads into an area roughly 4' wide by 10. deep and is for the storage of garden furniture, BBQ and other such summer outdoors stuff. The 3/4 glazed double doors lead to an area roughly 12' x 10' (3.6m x 3m) and is a man cave / home office space. This shed combination is built using our heavy duty 16mm finished thickness Scandanavian redwood tongue and grooved profile cladding over 38mm x 63mm CLS framework. The floor is 18mm exterior plywood, the roof is also tongue and groove. the roof is covered with 20kg (2kg per square meter) polyester based green mineral felt. The cost? £3,300.00 including delivery, installation, topcoat treatment and VAT (July 2018)

Recently completed, a 5 sided storage summerhouse with a Western Red Cedar shingle roof. It's a labour intensive job but probably the best looking roof you can put on a shed. This shed has been built extra tall so that a fold up table tennis table will fit in. Most gardens can't have a shed this tall as the permitted development rules do not allow a shed over 2.5m tall if it is within 2m of the boundary. No such problem with this job though!

Here's one we installed recently in Braintree, Essex. Its a 20 x12 apex divided into two sections. One section is 12 x 12 and is for use as a home gym, the other part is 12 x 8 and is for storage.

10 x 10 (3m x 3m) Apex roofed garden shed with Double doors

This is a 20 x 10 apex shed which has been built in two sections. The summerhouse section is 14 x 10 with a 6 x 10 section for use as storage. This shed does not require planning permission as it is less than 30m2 and under 2.5m in height.

Installing another heavy duty floor frame to level up an existing wonky base.

This 20 x 10 apex was custom built for a client for him and his lady wife. One half of the shed is for storage of garden tools and furniture whilst the other half is for use as a home gym. We was looking a getting a good quality shed custom built to our requirements and came across gorilla garden sheds. They looked like they where good quality so arranged for someone to come round. Payed a deposit and in just under a week I was receiving delivery of my shed!
