Our crèche sessions at Grafton House on a Tuesday have been cancelled for the foreseeable future. Sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your support. 🙂

Parking at Grafton House. I am sure you are well aware of the parking problems in and around GH since Tameside Council changed the parking restrictions in Ashton.
Whilst I appreciate that finding a parking space is a daily challenge, I can’t help but notice the increase in the number of parents using the car park which faces the Station Pub.
... There are certain times of the day when our children (nursery and school) are using the main entrance (08.45 - 09.00; 11.45 - midday and at 15.10 - 15.20). The increased number of parents cars using the car park is seriously endangering our children’s safety.
I am asking the parents who use this space to find an alternative place to park, away from the main gate.
I know that most of the on-street parking bays are claimed by workers in Ashton from the early hours. I would ask you to lobby Tameside Council to get the parking issue resolved at the earliest opportunity so as to bring back some semblance of normality to the parking situation outside GH and Ashton in general.
A couple of nearby schools have adopted a slogan to encourage parents to find alternative parking, well away from the school entrance. It reads:
‘NOT 5 minutes, NOT 30 seconds’
Please don’t park at all!!
For the children to be safe coming into/out of school/ nursery, it is vitally important to declare our school entrance a ‘car - free’ zone. Unfortunately, we have no control over visitors to the Station Pub or the Hair Clinic. They have shared access to the parking spaces.
