Graham Waterton is a full time casting instructor and guide, based in the South of England, surrounded by the iconic English chalk streams. He has fly fished for over 45 years. The fishing bug was caught as a small boy but it was learning to fly fish as a teenager which started a passion which has never weakened.

Two wonderful careers distracted Graham from a life of fly fishing. The first was a decade in the British Army, the second was 25 years in property, both of which enabled him to fly fish widely in the UK and abroad. Between these two careers he spent a year as a chalk stream river keeper for The Piscatorial Society, where he remains a member. He is also a member of The Flyfishers Club in London.

Graham has fly fished extensively on the chalk streams of Berkshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset and the exquisite moorland fed streams of the South West and in Wales for trout, sea trout and salmon. His pursuit of salmon has taken him to many rivers in Scotland, large and small where in particular he has over 20 years experience of fly fishing for salmon and sea trout on his beloved River Spey.

Away from the UK he's fly fished in New Zealand for trout and in salt water, in Iceland and the east coast of the US but his most absorbing overseas adventures have been as a saltwater fly fisherman, chasing shadows on the flats of The Seychelles and The Caribbean.

Although over the years he has introduced many to fly fishing and taught all ages and abilities, Graham recently qualified as a provisional instructor through the Association of Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructors (AAPGAI). Graham's extensive experience, passion for fly fishing, excellent communication skills and this qualification as a fly fishing instructor from probably the most respected casting instructors organisation, gives him a unique skill set for effective and enjoyable tuition and guiding.
