What a great place to eat and you can combine it with a night out at the cinema - that's what we did!!! Food was excellent - the Juicy was mega and the Screaming Yankee Cocktail was out of this world. Great atmosphere, great staff - all in all 100% recommended and we will DEFINITELY be back :-) Thank you Grand Central for a brilliant evening xx

Went down for a treat for my daughters 10th birthday. The staff were lovely and allowed us to bring down our own cake which they brought out for us after our meals � The food was really nice and I love the kids packs it definitely helps keep them entertained whilst waiting for their food �

We had a fabulous evening with friends. Great atmosphere, great food and excellent service. We always judge a restaurant on how they manage my dietary needs and here staff went out of their way to accommodate my dairy and wheat intolerance, asking me to fill out a record card to ensure they did all they could to cover my requirements. I wasn't made to feel I was making a fuss or being difficult so a huge thumbs up here and they came up trumps with a delicious dairy and gluten free Alabama fudge cake ....Fab chef!!!



The noise levels were quite high which resulted in an error with a drink and a steak order being miss-heard but these where very quickly rectified and didn't hider our enjoyment.



Would definitely eat here again and enjoy another game of drafts on the table boards (what a great idea) we may even take our chess pieces next time.

Perfect service, food is 'finger-licking'! New menu is a real deal to food lovers! Also, love the portions as after a meal you don't feel like a bag of potatoes � Love the american style�, feels more refreshing and tidy, cozy! Lowered prices makes it even more attractive! Food comes in few in few minutes, even if it takes 10-20mins it's worth a wait - this is not a fast food restaurant like kebabs or others, so noone should expect fresh and good food coming in 5 minutes! Can't wait to get back!�

HAD DINNER at GRAND CENTRAL on first night. Good menu, the food tasted good, lots of smiles and prompt service, prices reasonable, excellent bar and drinks menu and I'm a sucker for all the NYC paraphernalia. ;) I now have two places I can really enjoy for eating in Thetford. :)



Forgot to tell you that my visit to Grand Central was not without incident. I am 'infamous'! My name has been noted as the 'First Person To Christian The Bar'. Yup! I knocked my drink over on the bar top, but Chris (bar manager) seemed happy that the first spillage happened on his shift. :D Oh and Tracey is a lovely waitress, ask for her ;)

First visit on New Years Eve and it definitely won’t be the last! Staff were friendly and attentive, great atmosphere, delicious cocktails, beautiful steak cooked to perfection and the Nachos were amazing!

First time of many that my husband and I will come here. The food was awesome, the drinks were amazing and the service was brilliant. Our waitress was Kinda and she was so lovely, we really felt like we were being taken care of without being pushy. The presentation of everything prepared was so artful too. Made for some great photos for my blog lol. Would definitely recommend to friends, families and couples alike.

Fabulous evening spent at Grand Central for my son's 18th Birthday. Lovely waitress and bar staff, food was amazing, tasty, hot and good sized portions... Once staff realised it was a birthday celebration they went above and beyond, from candles in my sons dessert to special cocktails... A truly wonderful evening and we will definitely be returning very shortly.

Best burger in Thetford by far. Great place to eat and drink with very friendly efficient staff.

2nd time we have used the restaurant as a venue for a special occasion dinner. Both times have been fabulous. Food today was delicious and service was friendly. We will be back soon �

Amazing cocktails . Loved the beef fajitas although I did order chicken fajitas.

Went tonight just me and my daughter; food was ok , service was not good; we waited 20 minutes to have our plates taken away and 30 minutes to be asked if we wanted dessert in the end we got up and paid our bill with no dessert, also I asked the manager for a drink and didn't even get it had to ask the waitress for a drink , I then told the manager we had waited so long and she said sorry but obviously didn't mean it or she would of given us dessert on the house,

Really disappointed with service maybe need some retraining !!!!

Mixed reviews on the restaurant and service. Staff not very organised we had 2 staff taking our orders instead of just 1 waiting on us then confusion over our orders etc. Food was ok my veggie burger was extremely salty so couldn't finish it. Was told it would be taken off my bill but it wasn't so had to ask for it to be removed. Nachos are not great very greasy and not worth the price. I'm still unsure about the place to be honest. Might give it another try but not in a hurry back!

Had a really good meal around 6 weeks ago but tonight was god awful! Took 45 minutes for starters to come out then another 30 for mains. Nearly 2 hours and the food was poor with cold, hard chips and because of the service we missed our film - let us know when you fix things......

Visited the ‘Grand’ Central Restaurant in Thetford last night with my partners family for his brothers 21st birthday. I can safely say there is nothing grand about it and it is by far the worst restaurant I have visited. My partners mum booked a table inside in a quiet corner for her younger sons benefit (autistic). On arrival we waited 20 minutes before being attended to and was told we had cancelled our table, arguably we managed to get a different table in a corner of the restaurant.



After being seated by a very young but nice waitress we then waited another 20 minutes for our waitress to come and take our drinks order. The drinks took over 20 minutes to arrive and my partners brother who ordered a pina colada had to return his drink to the bar immediately after tasting it. The drink didn’t contain any alcohol and looked disgusting. The bar tender agreed it wasn’t made correctly and made him a Long Island instead.



After he returned we then waited half an hour before our food order was taken and to our disgust had to wait another hour before its arrival. By this point we had already finished our drinks and watched other customers complain about the poor service and food. When our food arrived my partners mum had the chicken Quesadilla and to her disgust the tortilla was extremely hard with the tiniest filling. We had to search for a waitress to get the bill and then we had to correct it because we had been over charged.



This restaurant was clearly understaffed and has poor organisational skills. We did complain to the waitress and she apologised several times. We paid over £72 to wait over an hour for our food which wasn’t even edible. Definitely won’t be visiting here again.

Rather disappointed booked here for my husbands 30th, when we got there our table wasn't ready, had to wait an hr for our food (it wasn't even busy) for the price of the food it wasn't great. Kids menu is rubbish burger is to big for kids (n my sons burger was black so was the bun) my daughters chips were so over cooked, and the sausages on the kids menu r to big and posh for my kids and the beans were cold. The onion rings were cold and the batter or whatever it was that they were covered in was horrible n also cold. The staff bit dis organised forget things we had ordered not offering sauces etc the manager was great shame we had to complain but she sorted the problem and hoped deserts would be better we had a table of 7 the 3 kids desserts come out and 1 adult by the time the other 3 come they had all finished the fudge cake was dry, cold (sorry I found 1 warm part in the middle) and wasnot served with the ice cream.



It's a lovely place and looks amazing, but sadly over priced could of got the same if not better at the hungry horse for a third of the price. And the food just wasn't great I was actually embarrassed that we had to complain about so much.

Firstly....I did not eat here - so to be clear my rating does not reflect the food, the decor or even the service. However, my husband and 2 of his mates ate here on Friday evening. Two of them had the same thing and the same 2 have been violently sick with vomiting and diarrhoea within a couple of hours of returning home and my husband has barely left the toilet or his bed since. This is a man who hasn't visited the doctors in the 26 years that we've been together!

Whilst I appreciate this could be sheer coincidence my gripe is with the person "in charge" who I spoke to on the phone with regards to this matter. His response was "it's up to you to prove its food poisoning; not me to prove it isn't". What I wanted was to alert him to the possibility that 2 of his diners may have contracted food poisoning as a result of eating here; I did not want a mouth full of attitude!

Not impressed with their customer service and as an aside all 3 diners said the food was very overpriced and they wouldn't be returning.....and this was before they became ill!

First and foremost, the staff were very friendly and the waitress who served us was attentive. Also, the decor and setup were well thought out too.



However, my wife and I did not enjoy eating here. In fact, after my burger was served under cooked (dripping blood juice) and the replacement had no flavour except for beef and onion, we decided to get our deserts elsewhere. Also, my wife's veggie burger did not seem to taste as described either.



Despite regularly eating out, this is the first time I've felt the need to leave a bad review.



It was a rare few hours where it was just us and we ended up eating our mains separately. Totally unacceptable in a quiet restaurant.



We are both very disappointed.
