Global superstar DAME JOAN COLLINS has to reschedule her one-woman tour of the UK this September, due to additional filming commitments for the US smash TV drama American Horror Story.
Joan explains "I was very much looking forward to touring the UK in September with Joan Collins Unscripted. Unfortunately, since I'm flying to LA today due to my commitment to American Horror Story, we have had to postpone the UK Tour until February. Wow! Had the best night ever �Gilbert O'Sullivan was Outstanding � was amazing meeting him and his family backstage too �can't wait till the next tour ! Hopefully see him in Bonnie Scotland one day too � great show in a great theatre � 50 years of music and many many more � xx

Went to see Beauty and the Beast �First class show! Highly entertaining by all the cast, Charlotte (Belle) was superb - well done guys, and thanks for the shout out! xx

We went to see dear zoo, both my children (one and two) loved it! The props were amazing! They looked exactly like the book. The seats were comfy too. Shame it was such a faff on to get a booster seat though.

We went here last night to see the fantastic Brian Conley and wow what a show! There was no huge stage settings and fantastic costumes, but what we got was far better than that! A total professional that made us all laugh from start to finish! I have been to see many comedy artists , and Brian Conley has certainly been the best of the best! So sad the theatre wasn’t packed to capacity and a shame that Brian noticed it? I would highly recommend this theatre as all staff were lovely and very friendly. Shop items were a little expensive but hey, don’t we expect that? Well done Grand Opera of York, keep this theatre going as it’s truly beautiful.

We loved the show "let's twist again" was amazing...that's the 5* bit...after booking on line thought I had decent seats..when we arrived they were restricted viewing with a huge pillar in front of us & paying nearly £50 for 2 tickets I didn't think they would be...luckily a few spare seats so we moved & had a fab night...it was a father's Day gift to my 78yr old dad so would of been disappointed if had to stay where we were...this is now twice this has happened so will not be booking online again as the fees bumped the price up a fair bit & i wont trust the seats..but heyho the show was worth it.

We have just seen boot led zeppelin tonight we were greeted by very friendly staff and shown to our seats. We had loads of leg room and a great view of the stage and the band were amazing we will see you again soon thank you highly recommend this venue x

Was there to see Cilla last week during a 4 day visit to York. I was taken ill during the performance (Thursday matinee) and Lizzy and all of the staff could not have been more helpful. Thank you all ofr looking after me so well and thank you for making sure we got to see a wonderful performance of Cilla the following night!!!

Saw beauty and the beast last week with my daughter and it was brilliant! So funny and my daughter keeps talking about the flying dragon!

Just seen Summer Holiday with Ray Quinn, fantastic, better than Cliff Richard, Ray CAN dance and sing. Brilliant �

I love this theatre and all the shows we have seen here. The staff have always been lovely to my daughter and I and we hope to visit again soon! I know my daughter loved The Little Mix Experience and Justin’s Band! 😊

Fab evening last night watching the beauty and the beast panto! A brilliant script brought to life with amazing actors, singers and dancers! And also incredible set designs, costumes and music!

Lots of laughs, dancing and singing and tremendous fun had by all!

Definitely making the York Opera House panto a yearly trip out! �����

Cilla ... The BEST musical I have ever watched. Laughed, cried and sang along. Had to give the man sat next to me a tissue in the 2nd half. What a cast - top performance!

Amazing .. we saw beauty and the beast last night first time seeing a Panto With my daughters and was amazing ... such a laugh and fab interaction with the crowd amazing from start to finish. We loved (lynne mcgranger) fab actress and Stuart wade (hilarious) as their characters ... all were amazing in their roles but the girls loved them the best x

Went last night to see Let's Twist!!! First of all we had booked front row seats, only to be stopped on our way upstairs saying they weren't opening it as not sold enough seats, we were put on row F although a good view, I am 5ft tall so my view is often restricted hence always booking and paying for front row seats. 5 minutes after the show began a group of ladies came in to the row in front of us with drinks and took at least 5 minutes to seat them selves after swapping between themselves and then stood again blocking our view to take off their coats. Approximately 4-5 minutes after their arrival the men of the same group came in so it was swap time again!!! This should not have happened there were plenty of seats in the rows behind that they could have occupied until half time and staff should have made that clear, so in all the first 20 minutes of the show was interrupted by inconsiderate late arrivals with drinks in their hands so had not just arrived late, but been to the bar!!!

The show, yes it was entertaining, was it amazing? I'm afraid not, it was good, but no wow factor for us, we have seen much, much better. We love the opera house in York and will definitely be returning!!

Really disappointed with this years panto! Very laboured, villain was poor, and apart from 2 of the cast the rest were very poor!

Found our evening at Beauty and the Beast quite stressful. We were aware the performance would be a relaxed one but not so much that the actors could not be heard at the back of the dress circle. The sound was turned down far too much which made our evening a total waste of money.
