In December 2018, Neil Young and Peter Ketley will attempt to row 3, 000 miles across the Atlantic to raise money for charity.
They are both OVER 60
They are both GRANDADS
They are both RETIRED PARATROOPERS
Their aim is to:
- Raise over £250k for two amazing charities
- Set a world record as the the oldest pair to row across the Atlantic

Some of you may have seen Mrs Grandad signing up to the #stemcell donor registry with Team Margot Atlantic Rowers on the dockside at the start of this yearвҖҷs Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge. Team Margot was set up in memory of a little girl who lost her fight to cancer because a match could not be found in time. It takes about a minute to sign up at DKMS UK and you may never be called to donate (which is just like giving blood anyway).

We were delighted to speak about our TWAC2018 challenge to the Shackleton Society at Eton College last night, preceded by a fabulous tour of this incredible institution. Founded by King Henry VI in 1440, pictures show the college taken from the highest point on the campus, school entrance, the oldest working classroom in the world (c.1441), the detention room, the Masters вҖҳmorning prayersвҖҷ meeting room as well as a plaque for the 44 Old Etonians awarded the Victoria Cross fo...r Valour, (quite incredible) including Grandad PeterвҖҷs Commanding Officer Lt. Col. H Jones VC OBE. Thank you, Gentlemen, for your fabulous hospitality including a super supper. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting you all. Special thanks to Felix for inviting us.
