Grange Over Sands Promenade Recreation Park

We try to get here for a few hours every few weeks. No matter what time of year it really lifts your spirits . The promenade is traffic free, being separated from the town by the lightly trafficked railway, and the garden borders (managed by volunteers) are just stunning!

Only had a coffee, but was very nice.staff very friendly

Love this place. Went to a beautiful tea room/bakery for lunch. Loved it so much here that we looked for a property to buy!!

Grange over Sands is a magical place which I visit often through my work. I always stop at the promenade tea house for drink and sandwich,which I enjoy greatly. Beautiful views,friendly folk,fresh air,and a lovely set of shops and cafes. There is a warm "micro climate" all around,and a sense of peace.

First time we've been and loved it! Lovely clean prom to walk along and beautiful flowers planted along the way. Plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the view out to sea. Toilets, lovely cafe with outside seating and so many activities....play areas, scooter park, outside gym, crazy golf, bowling, basketball! It is right by the train track for train lovers. We will definitely go back and hopefully visit the town as well next time. Just don't expect sand as there is no beach!

Easy train ride from Carnforth. Kids and dog thoroughly enjoyed it. Hot Chocolate at S Cafe - which is dog friendly too. :-)

Beautiful clean walkway, planted up lovely. Exceptional views, definitely return visits planned. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely beautiful place, in a word paradise , its like going back in time, really friendly people, plenty of places to park at just £1.20 a day who could ask for more .
