Grantchester Caravan And Camping

Great little campsite for motor homes, tents and caravans just outside of York. The toilets and shower are all clean but aren't separated by gender (it's a unisex building).

Electricity costs are a bit steep, at £4, but otherwise the camping prices are, given that it's just a 15 minute bike to York's city centre, completely fair.

The camping does have a limit of 4 motor homes or buses (a permit thing) and I'd therefore recommend you'd phone ahead if you're running a bit late.

A little tricky to find, but a great little site.

Facilities are ideal for short or overnight stays - it helps that it was sunny when we camped, so everything was scenic and clean. My daughter, wife and I were very pleased with how tidy, well presented and convenient it was for local food, etc. Will definitely be going back soon. The owners were lovely, very approachable and helpful.

Lovely campsite with welcoming owners, toilet and showers in really clean & warm condition. Nice 4 mile along the river from York, and very near a couple of cheap pubs.
Bit of noise/light pollution from the A19, the railway lines and planes flying over, but this wasn't too bothersome. :)

Lovely campsite. Well situated near York. Facilities are great, very clean toilet block. Small site so does not get overcrowded. Owners really friendly. The pub over the road only let's kids in the beer garden, however there is a Hungry Horse chain pub 10 minutes walk away. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I have just returned from a wonderful weekend break at Grantchester caravan & camping site. Having stayed at many camp sites previously I can honestly say this is a real gem. Beautiful site in a great location. Excellent facilities for a small site, clean & well maintained toilet/shower block. Very friendly hospitable owners. I would highly recommend & will definitely be returning soon.

We have just returned from a stay at the Granchester Caravan and Camping Park. Toilets and showers kept lovely and clean. Hot water at all times. Owners very friendly and helpful. Everything you need, we shall certainly be returning to The Granchester soon.
