Our loved chairman and doctor received last night (29/11/2018) the Award of "Sessional Clinician of the Year 2018" Mrs Helen Carr, CEO of Local Care Direct, presenting the award she said "Dr Christos has worked for LCR for over 20 years and had made many friends here. He is one of the loveliest people I had the pleasure of meeting and is both well liked and respected by colleagues and patients. He is always armed with chocolates when he visits our team! I've known Dr Christos over 38 years and he is the most caring and compassionate doctor I've ever known. He is adored by staff and patients. He opens his heart to everyone he meets or treats." Well done Dr Christos!

Προτρέπουμε όλα τα μέλη της Κοινότητας που επιθυμούν να συμβάλουν στην ανάπτυξη της Κοινότητας να εκδηλώσουν ενδιαφέρον για την πλήρωση των θέσεων στις 2 αυτές επιτροπές. Οι σχετικές λεπτομέρειες για τις εκλογές είναι: Δήλωση υποψηφιοτήτων μέχρι την Πέμπτη 29/11/2018 στις 21:00 Ψηφοφορία – Κυ...ριακή 02/12/2018, 09:00 με 18:00 στο Κοινοτικό Κέντρο Με τη δήλωση υποψηφιότητας, μπορείτε να καταθέσετε και 1 φωτογραφία (jpeg) για το δελτίο υποψηφίων. Το έντυπο δήλωσης υποψηφιότητας μπορείτε να το ζητήσετε από το γραμματέα της Κοινότητας ή από τον Δρ. Χρήστο Χατζηχαρίτου (07710 033 125).
We are holding committee elections on Sunday 02/12/2018, as the current Executive and Ladies’ committees are soon coming to the end of their term in office. We encourage all our members who wish to help our Community grow, to come forward as candidates in these elections for fulfilling the needs of the 2 committees. NEW SCHOOL BUILDING We would like to invite you to our open days on Saturday 24th November and Saturday 1st December from 10.30am to 3.00pm. You’ll have the opportunity to view the new school and walk around inside. You can also ask questions, and share any ideas you have for solutions to some remaining issues.

Κουραμπιέδες και μελομακάρονα - Kourabiedes and melomakarona Από την Κυριακή (02/12) πρωί θα μπορείτε να πάρετε από την κοινότητά μας σπιτικούς κουραμπιέδες και μελομακάρονα (£3 το κουτί) που θα ετοιμάσουν με πολλή αγάπη οι εθελοντές της κοινότητας μας. Όσοι θέλετε μπορείτε να προκρατήσετε επικοινωνώντας με την κ. Ελένη Παπαϊωάννου (hpapaioannou@ntlworld.com) μέχρι την Κυριακή 25/11). As from Sunday (02/12) morning you will be able to purchase homemade kourabiedes and melomakarona (£3 per box) baked with lots of love by our volunteers. If you’re a European Union (EU) citizen, you and your family will be able to apply to get either settled or pre-settled status. This will mean you can continue living in the UK after December 2020. The scheme will open fully by 30 March 2019.

Interpreting services will be available in Romanian and Slovak/Czech.
The drop-in session is intended to provide general information about the Settlement Scheme and will not include immigration advice on individual cases.

Μπορεί να είναι ακόμα καλύτερά και είναι στο δικό μας χέρι όλα μας τα όνειρα να γίνουν πραγματικά δόξα τον θεό υπάρχουν τα κατάλληλα άτομα για να βρεθεί η λύση! !!

Wonderful church, feeling of community spirit, great people and the most amazing food! I've never met a more kind, genuine or welcoming person than father Michael. You're all very lucky to be blessed with him and the church.

I have been a member of Greek Orthodox Community from the start and I love the friendly atmosphere. We have been blessed with very exceptional spiritual leaders and our current one Father Michael is no exception. He is loved by young and old and draws people in. The community Hall is a great asset for all our functions and gives a very warm and luxuriant feeling when all dressed for the various occasions.
