For bidding fisherman the village also features a trout fishery backed by breathtaking landscape. A ten minute drive down the tree lined country roads will lead you to Bowden Doors; a haven for rock climbers. Walk and cycle routes to challenge all abilities can be found at the magnificent Cheviot Hills which are only a short drive west. Northumberland’s renowned Heritage coastline is a short drive away, with stunning castles, villages and endless beaches. More extraordinary sites that are unmissable are all within driving distance such as Holy Island, the Farne Islands, Lindisfarne Priory, Northumberland National Park and Alnwick Castle and Gardens.
