We went here after a day at the beach with a 5 and 2 year old plus our 2 dogs. It was so cosy, comfortable and warm. The food was delicious and the staff where wonderful with my girls and patient with the dogs too. Will definitely be going again; especially for the warm chocolate and caramel brownie!

Thought it was very nice when I had the opportunity to visit thought the meals were very nice bar staff very nice also rooms also very nice I would visit again if I get the opportunity

This pub has been a favourite of mine for years ,Scott & his team are doing a great job



We was lucky enough to spend some time in the Green Dragon Walton last New Years Eve after a walk across the dale



As I now live in Australia I miss a Good English Pub as they don't have anything like them here in

Really nice place to stay, rooms clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was good staff friendly. We certainly will stop again.

Lovely, family and pet friendly pub. It it great to know that we can enjoy a walk with the dog and stop off for a refreshment.

Lovely friendly pub . We ate in the bar area it was dog friendly with doggy treats , very clean and warm . Good service and food delicious .

I went here on Wednesday 14th at lunchtime with my Daughter and 2 Grandsons. We had a lovely lunch with two tired boys. One of whom cried because he heard someone order a dragon burger and he wanted one after we had already ordered their lunches. It was all downhill from there. We were served by two pleasant ladies who interacted really well with the young ones. Food was lovely. Had a major meltdown from the youngest who didn't want to leave or put his coat on. He laid on the floor crying. I sent my daughter to pay. The next day I asked her how much I owed her and she had only paid for desserts not realising I had set up a tab for main meals and drinks! I rang up the next day to pay and spoke to another pleasant girl. Would recommend the Green Dragon to anyone with young children.

I love this pub and visit every sunday after a long walk with my dog. Staff are so friendly and happy even when busy which it is all the time and i can really understand why it is busy aswell.

Sunday lunch is amazing! all freshly made with large homemade Yorkshire pud and fresh veg and extremely mouth watering tender meat with lashings well seasoned gravey. Just love the place... never had a bad meal yet and have been visiting every Sunday since refurb and change of hands! Since then it has majorly improved even though it wasnt that bad before... i love it! Keep up the good work Green Dragon 👌

Hubby and I called in today and we both ordered the steak from lunchtime menu, the food was delicious, well cooked and well presented. The two staff members that were on were polite and friendly and asked how our food was. The puddings were also divine! The pub is set across from a beautiful Church and pond and you can sit outside admiring the view. We will definitely be back again soon, thank you.

Have eaten here a few times recently. Excellent food and service. Particularly great that they managed to cater for my son and I who are Coeliac so have to eat gluten free and have done so safely. So good, we have already booked for Christmas day this year! Keep up the good work!

Good atmosphere, nice food and if you’re a dog lover it’s definitely the most doggie friendly pub i’ve been to in a long time. Would definitely recommend.

First time we visited today with our little pooch. So cosy and friendly! Lovely Christmas music and decor. Cosy fire place where we sat with the dog and watched the snow fall outside the window over the lovely village.

Food was well presented and delicious too!

This was the first time we had been to the green dragon pub as it was dog friendly. Staff very helpful and made us feel welcome with the dog would go there again�

Went to try today we live locally so after the recent refurb we wanted to give the place another go .... well we were disappointed and won’t be back. Will stick to the trusted Triton or The star .

The refurbished bar and restaurant look lovely, aesthetically pleasing, done out nice. But they need more staff, they had two girls serving and taking the orders in the food area and this is 2 pm on a Sunday afternoon - so you know it’s going to be busy. The girls were fine - pleasant etc however it took ages to get the drinks served to us after ordering, the food took a while, they served the two adults first and then a good 5 mins later the two kids meals arrived - anyone with common sense would think to get the kids food out first and then the others so it gives the parents chance to cut up the kids food etc. I asked again two different people for some tomato sauce ( for the kids sausages!) again took ages , at the end I had to get up and ask someone to clear the plates away as we were finished for ages with no one coming to us, I asked again two people for dessert menu as we would have stayed for coffees and puds but the menus never came ! In the end I got up and asked to pay the bill as we wanted to leave . Wouldn’t recommend , will try the new Fox & Coney in S cave.

Some places put a load of money into the return but then forget about staff, staff levels and training . Such a shame as it’s done out nice and in a perfect location to walk to a nice local pub etc . Disappointed.

Eaten here fortnight ago, fantastic food and staff, ate here Sunday evening food average ! Sea bass was overlooked and Sunday dinner was microwaved and dry , although polite and good service, waitress and manager helpful
