About Green Glenthorne

Green Glenthorne Description

The average household in the UK annually produces more than a ton of waste – making a colossal total of 31 million tons per year, the majority of which goes into landfill. Unbelievably, it is forecast that by 2050 there will be more plastic in the sea than fish.

Here at Glenthorne, pupils recognise the negative impact we can have on our environment and how imperative it is to do our part to create a greener future.

The recycling team was established early in 2017 and since then we’ve been working together and collaboratively to come up with new ways of making the school more environmentally sustainable.

Our mission is to reduce, re-use, recycle!
