A closer view of some of these Independent and Local Author books!

We are fortunate enough to have quite a number of 'Independent and Local Authors'. Their talents are perhaps not as widely distributed as some authors (although some are!). We believe it is good and right to stock and display some of the books from these good folk. We will try to encourage (threaten/bribe) some of our staff and volunteers to read these books so that we can do some individual write-ups on them!

Simply Eat is a stunning coffee table book with 40+ contributions celebrating the power of food and faith. It is a fantastic resource for churches and individuals looking for creative ways to talk about Jesus with friends and family, and includes a number of original and very tasty recipes!

Recorded live in Sydney, People is the latest album from Hillsong UNITED. With a mission to write songs that "awaken churches and individuals to the fact that we are redeemed and called into the story of God", Part of the message of People is accepting that we are flawed - but that God is madly in love with us. Recognising the failing of human-ness is painful, but it also offers a shot at honest worship that heals and unites us completely.

Yes - We are moving! After more than 10 years at 20, High Street we realise that we have just outgrown the premises. The new site is just around the corner in Norwich Street where we are moving into what used to be Bennetts/Adcocks Electrical. So we will be closed from Monday 20th May and re-opening at the new site on Tuesday 28th May. The Community Fridge will stay open at 20 High St. during that 'closed' week.... WATCH THIS SPACE FOR OFFICIAL OPENING LAUNCH ON 1ST JUNE!
