Meet our happy hens!! We have adopted 8 lovely ladies who had come to the end of their commercial life as caged laying hens. They now have a happy free-range home with us! Their delicious eggs are not only used for baking the cakes for our guests but any surplus are available for our guests to buy at just £1 for half a dozen! #freerangehens #fresheggs #getyoursquick

It's been a month for outdoor jobs to keep improving the site for our guests - new picnic benches have been put out, the area for the bins has been enclosed, painting has been started and the flowers have grown! #springjobs #getoutdoors

It's not just the lambs frolicking in the fields or the birds singing in the hedgerows that signal the end of the long harsh winter... Mother nature sure knows how to make the countryside beautiful #flowers #beautifulnature #springtime #enjoytheoutdoors

Had a fabulous lunch at the Black Lion today - plate lickingly good in fact!! Can highly recommend this to our guests for the great food, superb service and excellent value.

We stayed for the August bank holiday 2017. On a motorbiking holiday. What a lovely place to stay. The owners were so welcoming and the extra touches were perfect at the end of a long journey there. Would definately recommend.

We stayed for a girl's weekend with the dogs and had a great time. The lodges are well equipped and very reasonably priced. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly too, even leaving us a cake! It's a nice area, secluded but not isolated. Would highly recommend!

We have just got back and will be booking again! What an amazing place, upon arrival we had been supplied with fresh milk coffee sugar and tea to make a brew and homemade cake which was delicious. The owners are amazing. Absolutely loved it. Couldn't of picked a better weekend either as the sun was beaming!

Was such a lovely place, really clean & great views. Owners are very friendly and welcoming. Home made cake on arrival was a really nice extra special touch. Milk in the fridge was a bonus to as I forgot it �. hot tube was brilliant the kids loved the whole stay. Would recommend to anyone and we would definitely stay again �

This place is excellent, I kind of want to keep it a secret but it's not fair not to review it! Emily.and Gary are friendly and chilled out, but the place is immaculate, the lodges are very well equipped, and the hot tub is really good. Would definitely visit again :) thanks alot for your hospitality guys!

The lodge was spotless clean, the owner (Emily) had made us some cakes and put a Christmas tree up !! This made our family Christmas meet-up get off to a brilliant start.

Jacuzzi was in its own little lodge with changing and toilet (everyone loved it)

Lodge was super cozy and warm on w’end of 1/12/17 even though there was ice outside.



Will definitely be back !

The accomodation was lovely, warm & inviting. Surrounding area absolutely stunning & the local tea cafe we went to were fantastic & catered to our very fussy needs (vegans, vegetarians & one person who could not have dairy) would go again in a heartbeat!

Thankyou for a fab weekend here at the green view lodge, especially my beautiful chocolate cake� lovely hosts, spotless lodge with everything we needed & the hot tub was very nice! Defo plan on coming back, thankyou again to you both�

Stayed here for my birthday celebrations with friends and could not fault the place, Emily and Gary were lovely hosts, we arrived to a home made cake in our cosy, clean and fantastically equipped lodge which was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend!

Me and the wife had the perfect stay here .colin made everything perfect the place is perfect loved the hot tub . Perfect location for all the places we wanted to see and others places Colin said about as well . We will be back �

Me and my boyfriend came here for a night couldn't fault the place. Emily was lovely seen to us straight away even had cake and milk when we arrived. The hot tub and sauna was great could have stayed there for hours. Very clean, had everything that you needed. Would definitely stay here again maybe for couple of nights next time, plus it's ideal because it's so close to the lakes as well as Keswick. Thanks again for having us :)

Lovely big cabin for 6 of us with use of the hot tub both days! Colin was great he gave us a lift to the restaurant he recommend and looked after us all weekend! Thank you we will be back

Just had a couple of nights here for the romantic break in lodge 4, absolutely fantastic experience and service we have never had from the many hotels we have stayed in over the years!



Colin made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and couldn't have done enough for us. Even picking us up an indian on the first night which was delicious! The unlimited use of the hot tub and sauna was great too!



We are planning to come back again in winter for a cosy hideaway! If anyone is unsure about a lodge break then don't be, this will be one of the best short breaks you ever have!

Just had a 2 night stay here with the husband and the doggie! Very clean, stayed in the hayloft which was gorgeous! Really lovely couple, Emily and Gary made us feel really welcome and the homemade cake on arrival was a bonus which was delicious! Couldn't fault this place one bit! We was sad leaving this place! We feel very relaxed after our lovely weekend away! We will be recommending to all our family and friends� we will definitely be returning to this little gem � Thanks for having us! �

Just came home from a weekend away here with friends & their children had an amazing time. Lodge was so clean was provided with tea coffee and milk so we could have a cup of tea with home made cake the owners had made which was delish. Owners were lovely and friendly made us so welcome and were around for any query’s or questions. We booked the hot tub twice also which was amazing. Will definitely be coming back. Thank-you xxxxx

Just back from a lovely, relaxing four day break at Green View. We stayed in a great little lodge which was immaculately clean inside. We were even greeted to milk in the fridge, tea and coffee and some delicious home made lemon drizzle cake.



We also made great use of the spa lodge which had a hot tub, sauna, shower, changing room and toilet.



Emily and Gary were both really friendly and helpful and have a good knowledge of the area (thanks again for the run route!)



Our children enjoyed seeing their dog, cats, guinea pigs and rabbit too.



All the family loved our stay there and genuinely didn’t want to leave at the end.



We would definitely recommend here to any families or couples looking for a quiet, very reasonably priced base to explore the lakes.



Hoping to be back again.

Beautiful, clean lodges owned by a lovely family that left us homemade cake, the heating on so it was cosy when we arrived late on Friday and milk in the fridge for a cup of coffee to go with our cake. The hot tub was easy to book and so much fun. The lodges are modern and so comfortable with every amenity you could think of. Our two dogs were welcome though at a very small extra fee of £5 each for the weekend. Lovely location with many lanes for nice walks. Wish we could of stopped longer than a weekend.
