Ben and Phillip had a successful couple of days at bury farm over the weekend. Following on from yesterday’s post.... we are also looking for a riding school instructor! At the moment we need someone to cover the Tuesday evenings 5pm- 9pm and all day Saturday! More work could be made available If wanted. We have a super team of riding school horses and ponies with great facilities including an indoor school to make the job easy! We have roughly 50 horses currently in work and we are looking for new full time members of staff to join our current team.
*We are looking for someone with previous equine experience, someone who is happy to work with young horses/ stallions/ fit competition horses an...d is able to help exercise them daily as well as prepare and turn out for shows etc. *We work a 5 day week followed by a 6 day week, always one day off at the weekend and an additional week day off on the 5 day week (other arrangements can be made but ultimately looking for full time staff) *8am- 5:30pm (we start early on show days if necessary) *rates of pay to be discussed with our yard manager on application *all yard duties apply- mucking out, hay, feed, sweeping, general yard maintenance and care for the horses *own horse welcome if necessary, we allow you to work your own horse in work hours in return for having a shorter lunch break (standard lunch break is 1hour plus a breakfast break at 9:30am) *we are a friendly, busy yard with a great atmosphere and lots of welcoming liveries and clients. Ben has a great run of results over the 3 days at aintree! Josie Gates’ deezie was 3rd in the 1.35m and won the 1.30m, Anne Dickers 6yo mare zinnie picked up 2 2nd places in the fox hunters, 6yo snickers was 3rd in the Fox Hunter and 5th in the 1.30m, Zirko won the 1.35m (video of jump off)... Phillip had some good results with his 2 horses at aintree. Darona was 5th in the Grand Prix and 6th in the 1.40m A10 jump off class The Brendon Studs, Noble Warrior was 4th in the 1.35m A10 jump off class and then 3rd in the Grand Prix! Riding schools / Equestrian businesses are facing an ever growing problem to continue running profitably and as a result future generations could miss out on all the amazing opportunities and benefits horses bring.

⭐️maintenance job available!⭐️ An opportunity has arisen on our busy equestrian centre for a person to undertake maintenance duties. These include driving 2 small tractors used for raking our arenas; taking hay to the grazing fields in winter; repairing fencing and small repairs to water drinkers etc, hedge cutting, lawn cutting etc. The successful person will be practical, well motivated and willing to adapt as necessary. Training will be given if required, no previous equine experience needed but is a bonus as we may need occasional yard help as well.
