Great camp site. Don't follow why their bar and shop is shut for the winter though. I would have thought it would help attract winter campers. I'll use it again but would use it with regularity through the winter if all of its facilities were open.

Fantastic location which is a short walk from Bakewell, roughly 15 minutes. Great little pub on site serving all your regular drinks, which is ideal after a day of walking or site seeing. The facilities are also great with a nice little shop and clean toilets, most importantly.

I would definitely recommend. In case you are going to build a tent, you would probably fight with slightly slant area. Don't rely on shop or pub inside camp unless you check opening hours before - especially in mid season. Also watch for little thief hedgehogs.

Had yet another fantastic stay this August bank holiday. Great place for all the family. Staff are very friendly, toilet blocks are immaculate and the bar is an asset also. Can't wait to return

Nice campsite with a children's playground, bar and shop. The pitches are not particularly level, but not too bad. There are two toilet and shower blocks which were cleaned regularly, but would benefit from a deep clean. Nice area and within walking distance to Bakewell. It's a good base for exploring the area.

We stayed at Greenhills from Friday evening to noon on Sunday.

On arrival staff were pleasant and direct us to our plot for the stay. All plots seems to be within a short range of the facilities. the layout was generous with plenty of space for a tent and car on the plot. It would be easy to put two tents onto one plot if you moved the cars once setup.

Our plot had electricity and we paid a small amount per night for the use of it.

The park was clean and tidy with a good set of facilities. The ones which we found most useful were the small shop & communal freezer for ice blocks. The latter being one of the most useful things for folks in a tent I think.

The toilet and shower blocks were of a good size and always clean. I never noticed a lack of hot water either. The washing up station was large and also never suffered from a lack of warm water.

Recycling bins are provided in the main bin area behind the general refuse sacks. Just take note that there are specific bins for glass colours, tins, paper etc.

The atmosphere was relaxed with no undue noise. Our pitch was in earshot of the A6 but noise was minimal; just the odd loud bike or car going past. In the mornings and evenings there was a chorus of cows & sheep which often broke up the still silence.

We had no problems with other guests and all seemed well behaved. Most also cleaned up all the rubbish from their plot - something which is often not done.

Although the website states that no group bookings are allowed there were a few large sets of holidaying families on site. Not issues with that as we were a group but all booked separately so we were in different corners of the site and congregated on one pitch for communal feasting.

Overall this was one of the best campsites we have stayed at and we'd not hesitate to go back again.

Nice campsite. The caravan pitches were quite tightly packed in for the price. I was hoping to have a bit more room between neighbouring pitches. Good facilities though, which one would expect for the high price tag.

Very friendly and professional staff. Great facilities and amazing scenery.

Great campsite. It has everything you need on site or a short drive into Bakewell. Reserved pitches are a good idea to make sure you have an allocated place.

User

Fantastic facilities for both camping and caravanning! Perfect location above bakewell.

Nice area, great toilets and showers. Plus it's got an onsite bar and shop. Watch the kids play and relax.
