This is a great series. It's done well, attracting top talent to a smaller venue and keener crowd than, in juxtaposition, a place like Hyde Park may attract. The drinks and food choices are also very nice. It's an amazing location for music, too.

I would like to do two reviews for this event but not sure if I can so will do two-in-one. The five stars are for Cliff Richard's show on the 1st July. From start to finish, he had the audience in the palm of his hand. OK, there were maybe two or three songs that he lip synched to but I think we can forgive a seventy six year old man for that! For 90 minutes, this man was full of energy and the live for him held by his audience was evident throughout, as was the love he had for them. Pure rock n roll heaven.

Six days later, I took my daughter to Greenwich for Little Mix. She had the time of her life but I, on the other hand, cannot help but feel that I had been ripped off. It was about 8:50 when they finally decided to grace us with their presence but I was disappointed to see they had no live backing band and were performing to a backing track which led me to question whether they were singing at all. Half way through their set, they left the stage for five minutes or a customer change then came back on for no more than half a dozen songs. At 9:50 they left the stage again for what seemed like an eternity then came back on for one more song. The show was finished by 10pm and I would be very surprised if they spent anymore than one hour on stage which, considering the price of the tickets is NOT value for money. So, girl me, Little Mix get just the 1 star I am afraid. Don't get me started on the lack of visibility!

So, a 76 year old man with a live backing band can give 90 minutes of pure entertainment but a group of 20-something girls can barely last an hour. Says a lot, really!

I saw Alexander O’Neal here last year and it was awesome. The venue is brilliant. Foods and drink really top notch also. Best shout out must go to the Prosecco stands!!!!

User

Great atmosphere, very relaxed, good choice of food inside the venue. Fantastic views over the Thames and up to the observatory in Greenwich Park. Loved the fact that you could wander around while the concert was on, stand up and dance, find a bigger space to dance with friends. Great venue.

User

Fantastic setting! The good weather was a bonus! Very well organised and it is local for me. Will definitely come back next year.

User

Collabro were truly awe inspiring, there voices were amazing. As for Sir Cliff, never disappoints his fans. He is totally the best hip swinger n bum shaker in the world. He entertained us all from start to finish. Lovely venue to end a great tour n to meet up with fellow cliff friends who enjoy the music, laughter n lots of fun 🎤🎤🎤❤️❤️❤️

Brilliant venue saw Tom Jones on Wednesday night.

User

Amazing night what a man , venue perfect weather perfect singing perfect tom perfect , what else can you ask for x

User

Amazing bus and you can book upstairs for a private gathering for free all you have to do is buy a bottle, amazing views of the event as the bus is always near the stage, give it a go the next time, amazing night.

User

Alfie Boe an Michael Ball concert, fantastic, seating great, and venue magical right on the Thames. Thought the refreshments were overly priced and once in concert you had no options to buy as we're not even allowed to take in your water bottles, I know this was for security reasons but surely if bottle of water had not been undone where is the problem, I had medication to take so had to purchase another inside.

Last year I attended The Jacksons and although the mikes didn’t seem very loud had a thoroughly awesome time. Lastnight I went to see Nile Rodgers and Chic perform, same again they didn’t seem very loud. But please sort out the bars over an hour to get a drink in this baking heat is a joke!!!! Which is a shame for such a beautiful setting and some great acts.

User

Having seen Sir Tom Jones who was absolutely amazing, I have to ask why as a music venue do you insist on instructing your security team to ensure that people are seated at all times? It totally kills the atmosphere and enjoyment of exactly what you attended for. Enjoy the artist and have a little dance at the same time. This is the 2nd time I have been, luckily The Jacksons fans last year just carried on and partied, as it should be at a music venue. Certainly makes me think twice about attending a third time and its such a shame!

User

You just can't run an event appealing to children and permit adults and teenagers to stand on seats (although quite why they thought that was ok is anyone's guess, selfish idiots).

No one could see. Unless you were an adult standing on their chair. Very disappointing

User

Why refuse N block the exit for Maze Hill Station missed train N next canceled so why overload the already mobbed DLR, surely the responsible thing would to be encourage other forms of public transport, very short sighted planning

User

Terrible organisation where children were the main audience, if you wasn't near the front your children didn't have a chance of seeing anything, once everyone (including adults) decided to stand on the seats near the front.

Think you should arrange the seating better in future and slope them, so everyone can see. The tickets cost enough

User

My family and friends took our 3 daughters as a surprise to see Little mix last night, at this point I would like to say the venue is beautiful, however I had very upset girls as for the whole time Little Mix was performing they and us could not see them ( not even on the big screens. We had B1 row C seats. As you know these were £71.00 each for the tickets through ticket master and to pay that price, travel all the way there from Ashford Kent and not be able to even see Little Mix is a great disappointment.

I think the control and management of the audience there was shocking as you had fully grown adults standing on chairs the whole time in front of children ( and not just our children) lots of teenagers and young children so excited to see there "favourite group" and were not able to see a thing.. Before the show started you had security coming round shouting for children to get off standing on the chairs but not One word was said to the adults whilst Little Mix were on the stage!!!!

To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I saw many young children in tears including my own daughter because she could not see atall.. My husband and I could not see the stage so what chance did our 7 year old daughter have.. I am not a person who will complain but this really upset me and I would NOT want this to happen to other children and families.

I understand it is difficult to control everyone with that amount of people but... in my eyes Little Mix is a group for young children and to have adults behave in the way they did, dancing in the isles, on chairs with glasses of alcohol, on chairs directly in front of young children who are there to see there favourite band and not have any support from security is a complete let down and a complete waste of money..

User

Loved the concert but the bars were shockingly bad this year, last years offerings was much better felt a classy event but not this year. Tom Jones rocked though

User

I would not recommend Greenwich Music Time to anyone, especially those with children. The promoters Cuffe and Taylor do not respond to concerns and complaints in a satisfactory manner. On site security cannot deal effectively with those causing trouble and people standing on seats restricting views. Be careful what tickets you purchase as I was mis sold tickets, told they were at the front of of an A block but was actually at the back contrary to what the Greenwich Music Time website states.
