Greenwich Youth for Christ is a registered charity committed to its mission of enhancing the physical, emotional, spiritual, social and intellectual development of young people from all backgrounds. We have been providing high quality, creative, holistic youth work for 15 years. We have defined further defined our mission and vision as ‘impacting young people' through three project streams Churches, Communities and Schools. 1. Communities: There are two elements to this, the provision of youth work projects largely based on the Ferrier Estate and the Violence Intervention Project its sister project. VIP seeks to work with 5-10 year olds and their families coordinating and providing community and school based interventions. Key elements include counseling, provision of the Incredible Years Parenting Programme and the small group Dina School therapeutic programme with Key Stage 1 pupils. 2. Schools: we provide services to primary and secondary schools this includes pre exclusion work, targeted education work such as ‘Girls Groups'; counseling services and football coaching. 3. Churches: This project stream supports the development of high quality, well resourced Christian Youth Work and ministry throughout the Borough. This includes training advice and consultancy; provision of placements for students on the Centre for Youth Ministry's degree programme; the facilitation of ttraining in partnership with the Diocese of Southwark.
