Trying out my new thermovet today this horse has suspected laminitis ....right fore not showing as much heat as when I looked at him a couple of days ago I fitted some styrofoam pads with gorilla tape just to get him for comfortable till he was comfortable enough for clogs ...the right one still taped on till I fitted left clog....iv never posted pictures of clogs before as they just done look that interesting but iv been using these for a good 8 years and the results are by far the best amazing bit of kit 👍
Bit of banana shoeing 🍌 this thoroughbred has low weak heels long toes etc .... I actually forged onion heels on this horse too as this horse has very wide heels to cover even though I used the Warrior specials ....so he actually got two of his five a day 😄 thanks for the inspiration as always Mark Caldwell . With John Benning and Tom Bray I must order are T shirts 😉
More great stuff from the shoeing lab making my life a lot easier 👌😄
Nice shoes these got a few in them with ring bone side bone etc they seem to like them 👌
Didn't have so many on to day as I thought so thought as I haven't made a shoe since October ( as I normally fabricate because I'm lazy ) best make something before I forget how . So made some straight bars for a dressage horse ...sleep well tonight 😄
Helping a horse (on surface ) with co lateral ligament damage made easy by the shoeing lab 👍
Some practice shoes my good friend Steve Odell made thought I'd nail them on this dressage horse as he'd only chuck them in the skip ...suppose I will have to get my backside in the forge before the next shoeing to make the next pair .....nailed on a treat 👌
Spider plate used for a horse with a club foot . Never used one before normally shod with heart bar will see how this goes .
Asymmetric hinds giving more lateral support to try to stop this horse sinking on a surface .
More Ortho kit fun .
Looking forward to trying these out .
Not made for anything as I don't shoe anything this big but fancied a play . 16"3/4 of 1"1/4 x1/2 hammer finish .
Looking forward to trying these straight bars out tomorrow .
