Gregg'S Pit Cider & Perry

About Gregg'S Pit Cider & Perry

Gregg's Pit is an award-winning artisan Cider & Perry maker in Much Marcle, Herefordshire.

Gregg'S Pit Cider & Perry Description

Established in 1994, we make real Herefordshire cider and perry using 100% juice of vintage varieties of apples and pears, harvested from traditional standard orchards. We have been granted Protected Geographical Indications (PGI) for all our products since 2003.

We make small batches of single variety and named varietal blends of cider and perry using wild yeast with natural, slow fermentations, matured in stainless steel tanks.

We’re proud to harness traditional methods with our ancient stone press, which dates from the 18th century. We work with nature to manage the orchards and create our products, with pomace (pressed fruit pulp) going to feed neighbouring Hereford cattle, and recycling wastewater.

Our products are on the shelves at outlets across the UK, and we sell directly at events and markets throughout the summer. For more information on where you can find us, please visit our new website.
