Today our liveries Charlotte and Kez headed out to dressage at Millhouse Green and met up with not one but two of our ex-riding school ponies! Here with Kez we have pictured Blue (on the right) who left us 7 years ago and Ben (in the middle) who left us just before Christmas. Lovely to see them and see how well they are doing!

Duties will include all aspects of yard work plus preparing ponies for the show ring and attending shows. Must be confident handling horses. Riding is not essential but is potentially available subject to ability.

my little girl as just gone horse riding for the first time and she absolutely loved it and the staff was brilliant so nice would highly recommend thanks so much we will Definitely be back as she wants to do horse riding weekly nw lol thanks again she hasn't stopped smiling are talking about today lol

great !went here with my 7 year old boy who has never been on a horse . at first wasnt sure if he would enjoy it as led round by someone but he LOVED it and cant wait to go back - we even had a go at trotting which he thought was great.

Went with my kids and some friends yesterday for the woodland walk and everyone loved it infact the first thing my boys said when they got off their horses was 'When can we come again?' So I guess you'll be seeing us again soon �

Went for an amazing hack through beautiful woodland here yesterday. Great well-kept yard with friendly staff that accommodated a last minute request for a hack in the sunshine. Had an assessment in the school first to check my riding level before going into the woods accompanied by an instructor who was lovely. Horses were well behaved and responsive, felt safe and in control. Will be returning next time I'm back up north (I live in London).

We have just been on a woodland ride it was amazing all the staff are really nice and friendly we will definitely be coming back again and would highly recommend to other families thank you very much xx

We came with 2 children first time on horses in April, was so worried and soon as we stepped in the yard it went, everyone was so friendly and Georgina was so lovely looked after us and was brilliant with the girls they loved it and will definitely go again �

Thankyou very much for looking after me zoe she was polite and very professional I had such an amazing experience was very apprehensive as was my first time I recommend this riding school to all my family and friends and will use again very soon and good competitive prices

So I’ve ridden at Grenoside maybe 3-4 Times and my experience was that it is amazing, great horses, great staff and great Routes to go out on a hack. Met a couple of old friends at Grenoside too.



Half of the bad reviews if you want to call it that, more like babbling on about 1 experience are from 1 Persons bad experience, Not all of them have even been to this place��



But in all honesty, ignore the bad reviews, this is a great Equestrian Centre from Newbies to The most experienced of riders, it’s always good to have a lesson even when you’ve been riding years and have your own horses and this is the place to do so.

My daughter has had a break recently from riding and now decided to get back on the saddle trying a new riding school. Olivia had her first private lesson on Tuesday and actually came away so happy. I’m really pleased she doesn’t have much confidence and I don’t get to see her smile all that often but she loves the school and can’t wait till next lesson. Thank you

I’d not been riding for many years so was really nervous when I first decided to take it up again. I initially tried a closer riding school to me but only stuck one lesson with my confidence in tatters. I then decided to try Grenoside & am so glad I did otherwise I might have given up my love of horses forever. The staff at Grenoside have all been really lovely to me & my riding & confidence have improved massively. The off road hacking is a huge bonus & there’s always someone to help if you need it. I’ve had lessons with most of the instructors now & think they’re all great. I would definitely recommend to others (and do so each chance I get) thank you all for all you do xxx

Grenoside Equestrian Centre is always my first choice of riding school in the area! Having a fear of horses and wanting to get over this just being able to spend time just around them and walking alongside before riding improved my confidence drastically. After actually mounting one of the horses I really didn’t know what my fear was about. 100% would recommend to everyone.

Brought 8 girls and 1 adult here this weekend for my daughter's birthday. The staff were great with them. They all got to groom the horses before going out on a ride.

The young girls that held the horses as the children rode were very nice. If you had a question they were more than happy to answer. My daughter and her friends loved it. We will definitely be returning.

Both my girls (aged 9 & 13) started riding here about a year ago, we came here as it was recommended by a friend, recommendation turned out to be fabulous x both girls have come on great x

I even took to it myself after a long time out of a saddle I was super nervous but I’ve been having lessons here for 4 months now and the nerves have completely gone replaced by confidence x (trying to catch up with my girls is the tough bit)

All the staff are great - all horses/ponies are fabulous.

Not only is there a good arena but with great access to off road hacking too, it scores high in my book x

I would recommend to anyone x

As a member of Sheffield University Equestrian Club we use this yard on almost a daily basis for different Beginner and Leisure members and none of them ever have a bad word to say about it!

The members of staff really go out of their way to ensure all our riders enjoy their lessons/hacks in the wood and are great at accommodating new riders. Thanks to the yard we’ve introduced many new riders to the world of equestrians, and allowed even more to keep up their passion while studying at university!

Amazing place amazing people georgina is fantastic asset to this company who is friendly welcoming and a caring and knowledgeable person who really knows her stuff fantastic with children as well as horses cannot give this company and this team enough credit x

A great yard with lovely friendly staff and fantastic facilities. I started having lessons here when I came to Sheffield for uni � Lyndon and Zoe have done an amazing job between them of getting my confidence up and I really couldn't be more grateful �

I also organise lessons for members of the Sheffield University Equestrian Club and all my members love going for their lessons and hacks. They always do their best to fit as many of my members in as possible and are great at accommodating new people (which isn't an easy thing to do). Thank you so much to everyone at the yard for making my university experience so much better by giving me that much needed horsey time and boosting my confidence again ���

had a kids party here on Saturday. double booked it and the staff were vile!!! Not just to the adults but the children too. my son was very upset as of how he was spoken too at 7years old �� would not recommend this place at all!!!!!!

We went to a childs party here, on the website it sates friendly and welcoming the people here are far from it , they was rude to us all including the children. The children was told to eat there food in a field with the grass been at knee high, after refusing they was given a store room to eat in with all the riding gear in that was filthy. After complaining a women stated " well the people here are better with horses than people."
