They had run out of beer and crisps from the previous night. The staff working were lovely however two staff members stood in front of the entrance door smoking which was quite off putting.

Good value pub in a great location in Windermere village which shows live football on a big screen. Good selection of ales
Pleasant pub to stay. Room very comfortable and clean. Bar food and breakfast Very nice. Only stayed one night on our way to hawkshead
Drinks were very expensive but the bar was very nice and staff were friendly
Ordered food tonight, 2 meals, place not too busy. Was told it would be 25 minutes wait, took 45 minutes for a lasagne and my partner's food had been mixed up , that took another 5 mins. Very mediocre lasagne, with cold garlic bread. My partner's chicken burger was disgusting, the salad was literally dripping with water so the bottom of his bun was so soggy it was inedible. Crappy frozen chips. Only ate what we did because we were starving. The staff never came to the table to ask how the food was. Crap food, crap service.
Walls are incredibly thin noisy guest's made it really hard to sleep good place for a stag do but not for a relaxing weekend bar good selection of local ales and beers £10 minimum paying by card breakfast was nice
Unpretentious bar with nice choice of ale. Steak and ribs was very good.
