Greyhound Inn Description

Welcome to the Greyhound Inn, an old coaching inn dating from 1502. Situated in the East Sussex village of Wadhurst. The Greyhound is close by to attractions such as Bewl Water, Scotney Castle and Royal Tunbridge Wells, making it the perfect choice for a weekend break, with friends or family.

With a roaring fire for cold winter nights and a picturesque secluded garden for long summer days, the Greyhound is a traditional English pub steeped in local history. And if you're looking for somewhere to have breakfast then come and join us on weekends from 9am.

As well as serving great food and drink, you can stay in our cosy Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the converted stables, or celebrate a special occasion in our private function room.

We’ve got a spontaneous night of music tomorrow night with one of our favourite local bands. Join us for an evening of great beer & live music from Lewis & his unnamed band 🍻🥁🎹🎸🍻🍻🍻

Visited the Greyhound with my family and had a lovely afternoon in front of the log fire, followed by a fantastic home cooked dinner! We were shown the accommodation with a view to a future visit to the area. Simple and clean and priced fairly. We will be back to stay and can't wait to sample the breakfast! Everyone was talking and raving about it. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Highly recommended!!

Very friendly pub, good ale and helpful staff :-)

Usually my first stop when I visit Wadhurst is for a pint of Harvey’s...the Greyhound has been our family’s haunt for as long as I can remember, and the Sunday roast is fantastic!

This pub has really been turned around since it has come under new ownership.

It is now a friendly local, with great food, Harveys (on draught) as well as a good array of lagers and plenty of soft drinks for those that choose not to drink alcohol.

There is a really great beer garden at the back that can be used for families and children, or there is a designated dining area inside.

There is a regular flow of live entertainment also.

As if this wasn't enough, the food is really good too.

The owners are really turning this place around and this is quite definately the best pub in Wadhurst.

The Greyhound is different things to different people. Hotel rooms, restaurant, garden, family friendly and events. For me it is an old fashioned boozer and refuge. Perfect.

User

Stayed at the Greyhound for a little overnight rest after playing a gig there. Always have wonderful staff and a great atmosphere! Would highly recommend the rooms for any holiday go-ers.. Simple yet cosy, but a good all round feel.

User

Really overly Sunday lunch spent with family. The staff are so friendly and the service was very good.

Fabulous food. Especially the Sunday roast. Big beer garden with play area. I also love their fish and chips.

User

Excellent new management. Recommended for a meal any day!

User

Best roast dinner I've ever had! Have been a few times and it's always perfect!

User

A really friendly welcome, fantastic food and drink and excellent service. I will be returning again very soon.

Very disappointed with the take away fish and chips . Haven't been to the pub for a long timebut noticed the take away sign still there. Had 2 portions of fish n chips £14 but the fish and chip size portions were child size. My Hadock was dry and chewy and there was no tartar ssauce that I was told came with it. Makes you wonder what the restaurant standard is like when they dont provide the best quality fish. I never usually put anything on facebook but feel ripped off and angry.

User

Good English village pub. Food is v good. Nothing fancy but just what you want from a pub lunch.

Staff are friendly.

I'm the colder months the open fire is just perfect to sit next to with a good pint and chat to friends.

Come enjoy and see our lovely village of Wadhurst.
