Greyhound Rescue And Co-Ordinated Emergencies

About Greyhound Rescue And Co-Ordinated Emergencies

We are a small, unregistered, independent anti racing Greyhound rescue /charity. Our aim is to rescue, rehabilitate and find forever loving homes for greyhounds coming from the racing industry.

Greyhound Rescue And Co-Ordinated Emergencies Description

GRACE was set up in 2011 to rescue, re-habilitate and rehome unwanted and abused greyhounds, lurchers and other sighthounds from local authority dog pounds, members of the public, but, predominantly, owners and trainers of racing greyhounds. Racing greyhounds, who become too old or slow to race or who have sustained an injury are seriously at risk of being destroyed. Thousands of greyhounds ‘disappear’ every year, presumed dead. We are here to try and help as many dogs as we can by taking each dog into a foster home where they will receive a period of rehabilitation to recover, receive any necessary veterinary treatment and be cared for and loved, often for the first time in their lives. Our dogs are neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to their forever homes being found. We also work alongside other reputable rescues to rehome dogs. If you would like to adopt a greyhound or other sighthound please get in touch on the above contact details. Many thanks for your compassion.

Thank you to everyone who came to our March meet and greet. The 4 hounds we took had a greyt day, loved the hugs and biscuits. Tracy and Gary really know all there is to know about greyhounds and do a fabulous job with their rescue dogs and finding them a good home and good owners. The whole team of volunteers are excellent.

I would not hesitate in recommending adopting a dog via Grace and we are now the lucky owners of a lovely greyhound who soon became part of the family.

A truly amazing rescue charity. The love and care that goes into rescuing and rehabilitating these wonderful dogs and then finding them their perfect, forever home is inspiring. We got our beautiful boy 'Hardy' from them and the support and advice we received from Tracy and her team was brilliant. We will continue to promote and support this charity in any way we can
