Gringo’s in Huddersfield has gained a reputation as one of the best restaurants to hit West Yorkshire.
Serving Mexican dishes in a warm atmosphere, it is a vibrant and happening place to eat and chill out. Years of working in kitchens across Mexico, L. A. and Australia experimenting with foods and cultures, has given Chris Lee the experience and individuality to offer diners unique and exciting creations.
The restaurant is becoming a haven for those wanting quality food and service. With a specials menu that knows no comparison and a main menu offering traditional delights such as fajitas, chimichaga and enchilada, there is something for everyone. The décor is a funky mix of 1960’s refurbished furniture, distinctive wall designs and shattered bullet proof glass in frames!

Went for my birthday meal. Had a really good time. Food was delicious and surprised us with a birthday dessert. Thank you girls you made my day. Would recommend this place. You’re doing great.
We went in last night for my birthday and it was busy but food was served really quickly and was to die for! If there was one thing I would change would be the volume of music, we had my elderly father with us and he could’t join in the conversation because he couldn’t hear us over the volume of the music.
That said it won’t stop us coming again as the food was delicious!! Thanks guys
Visited Gringos yet again tonight for a pre festive meal out ... Never fails to deliver - fab food, great surroundings and the staff are just brilliant - so welcoming and like visiting old friends - simply cannot recommend this place enough - you Must try it !!!! Merry Christmas everyone look forward to seeing you lots in the New Year ���
Visit to My home Town last night from our home in Scarborough... Brother and his wife booked us all in for eats before Count Arthur Strong at LBT... And it didn't disappoint.. Food..Drinks.. Service.. Decor.. Spot On.. Superb...... We will return... Dukesy & Julie �
Terrific atmosphere, and not only was the food and service excellent, but also, being longer in the tooth than most customers, we didn’t do justice to the generous portions. Without prompting when we received our bill, the starter we shared had been deducted. Top quality customer service. We will be back on numerous occasions but wiser when it comes to ordering. Can’t recommend highly enough.
Simply an amazing place! Great food, drinks and atmosphere! What I love best is how much pride the staff take in their product and service! People of the world, go to Gringo’s you won’t be disappointed!
On arrival we were welcomed in by helpful polite staff, food was to die for, the place is small but perfect, well definitely recommend to any one including familes.
Just been tonight for my partners birthday meal out. We all had an amazing meal. We all love Gringos. I have to have a gluten free diet and always have an amazing meal . We will be back
Have visited Gringo's dozens of times, and they never fail to impress! The food is always brilliant and the staff are attentive and friendly. A firm favourite among family and friends!
Have not eaten here for years, was great then and please to say it still is.
Will definitely be back, and will not be leaving as long this time.
Prepare to be filled to busting, as the portion sizes are BIG. Doggy bag may be required ��
Gringos was very busy but the service & food were both amazing!! Some of our group got the 2 4 1 which made our spend very reasonable. The menu has lots of choice & we’ll definitely be back all five of our group were more than satisfied. 5 � from us!! X
Great food and great service. I travel for work and always hunt out Mexican or Burger restaurants, so I’ve been to quite a few. This is one of the best I’ve found and will be back if I’m ever in the area.
Everything about our night was awesome. The service and staff were great, the food was lovely, and the drinks were perfect. Would definitely go again, and will definitely be recommending to friends. Cheers guys.

Been to Gringo’s on more than one occasion. Staff are friendly and attentive , and the food is always excellent. Always a nice vibe inside and the early bird two for one deal is good value.
Food was very nice, service was excellent the whole staff team was very attentive they work very hard, the only thing that spoilt the night was the very loud music which got louder as the evening progressed but apart from that we had a lovely evening
Very popular small Mexican restaurant, especially as many come early in order to take advantage of the Two for One offers. The starter dish we ordered was fantastic - chicken wings with the blue cheese sauce. The main dish was substantial and good too. The only down side was we had to wait nearly 45 minutes for or order to be brought to the table. Still, very good value and would visit again, especially for the chicken wings and sauce!

Let me tell you. At 6pm last night the restaurant was bloody freezing!
December 4th and a restaurant with no heating?
‘It’s because the kitchen door is open.’
‘The wind blows when someone comes through the door.’
‘Well how about switching the radiators on?’
‘We are looking into alternative methods of heating.’
‘What in December. It’s a bit late!!’
‘We can move you to the high stools in the bar where there’s a convector heater.’
‘No I want to sit in a warm restaurant!!’
And so it went on.
As more people came into the restaurant, human body heat mixed with food heat from the ‘burning fire’ did raise the temperature.
I’m sure by 9pm everything was fine although the radiators would probably have still been stone cold.
Don’t get me wrong this place serves really great food but if you’re an early bird be prepared to eat in your duffle coat.
Hope this isn’t the start of the decline of gringo’s.
Our party of 8 booked in for 21:00 on a Saturday night,
When our food arrived it was luxe warm ( all 8 main were the same)
But was made to feel as we was been rushed out as it was very obvious that we was the last sitting,
BIG SHAME , I’m praying this was a one off,
I normally love GRINGO’s
