Women in the film industry are hugely underrepresented, and hugely talented, so it's about time we shined a spotlight on some of the up and coming female filmmakers of the UK, and its only right as it is international women's day today!

Rina Yang: An incredible cinematographer, known for her outstanding work in the music video, narrative and commercial work. London based, she's worked for clients such as Nike and Adidas, musicians like Bjork, and won numerous cinematography awards.
Kate Herron: Writer and director of short comedies and dramas, Kate Herron brings female talent to the fore, both in her own ability, and the characters she writes as well as the casting that brings them to life. Releasing her new film today, we know it's going to be a good one! Films include Smear, 5x5 and Rest Stop.
Hazel Hayes: A persona you can't help but love, a talent you can't help but admire, and interviewees you can't help but envy. As one of the UKs most successful YouTubers, Hazel Hayes not only writes and directs her own brilliant content, but she interviews some of the industry's most prolific figures, including multiple Oscar winners! And we'd be amiss if we didn't mention the fact she has a stunning singing voice. Is there anything she can't do?
Jessie Ayles: An extraordinary filmmaker on the rise, shooting branded content and short form documentary, winning MoFilm pitches and definitely making massive headway into the commercial scene. An inspirational figure for any independent filmmakers out there who rely on themselves.

Needed a quick turn around, because I'm filming abroad next week. They seriously saved me!

I live in the US and bought a camera rig I can find nowhere else. I placed my order and have gotten an email back, so a few days later I sent an email. They said they received my order but there was a delay, I said ok or problem. Yesterday I get an email saying it shipped, to make up for the time they overnighted it all the way to the US. Absolutely amazing customer service and I wasn’t even expecting that whatsoever. I may live in the US but they have found a new customer. Will definitely order from again.

I cannot recommend Grip Up highly enough. They gave excellent advice when asked about various should-rigs. In the end I plumped for the GiniRig Extreme 17 which they supplied very promptly.



When the rig arrived, I realised that there was a bit missing (nothing vital, but missing none-the-less.) I got back in touch with them and the problem was rectified extremely quickly.



Any company can offer good service to new customers but I feel you can really judge a company by how it handles problems. Grip Up dealt with it brilliantly.
