Grizedale College Description
Grizedale College, named after Grizedale Forest in the Lake District, opened in 1975. The name is of Norse origin and means "Valley of the Wild Boar". (Hence our logo). It is at the heart of campus, and close to shops, catering outlets, the Management School and the George Fox Building. However, the college has been completely revamped recently, only reaching completion late in 2009. We offer some of the most modern accommodation on campus, built to award winning standards.
The college itself has a number of facilities available to make life a little easier and hopefully fun. The residences are built adjacent to our administration block which also contains Grizedale Bar, and Grizedale Social Space. Here you can enjoy a coffee or something stronger with friends, or enjoy a simple meal. Also available here are games such as darts and pool, and WII games.

It's with regret that we have to announce that Warriors 2020 is officially cancelled due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis.
For many, it will come as no surprise due to the earlier cancellation of Roses, but we only received confirmation this week about Warriors.
We're hoping to hold some form of event against Pendle in Term 1 to reignite the college rivalry at the start of the next academic year, so keep your eyes peeled for news throughout the summer.

Grizedale college welfare Wednesdays! This week is stress Everyone is affected by stress and stress levels can be particularly high around exam time, these are some ways to stop it getting to you. Our Grizedale CAT drop ins are every Thursday 12-2pm and our welfare team are always happy to chat!

Volunteers from Lancaster University Food Bank Collection will be visiting all flats and townhouses next week and there will be a donation box in the college foyer too. Anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated!
