Come and stay with us at Grizedale Lodge, a former hunting lodge set in the stunning Grizedale Forest, close to Hawkshead, Ambleside and Coniston in the Lake District National Park.
Grizedale Lodge Description
We have eight spacious bedrooms, all with lovely views. Breakfasts are hearty, wholesome and cooked to order using local produce wherever possible. We have a large sitting room with a sunny west-facing balcony, ideal for relaxing with a glass of wine or local beer after a day of walking, cycling or exploring the beautiful scenery.

Just to let you all know, Debs and I said our final farewell to Grizedale Lodge on New Year's Eve leaving the Lodge in the capable hands of it's new owners. We would like to thank everyone for their support over the last 7 years and wish you all a Happy New Year.

Florence's leg has fully recovered and she walked three Wainwrights last week.
Grizedale has just received 5 star rating from the AA, and Debs has been given an AA Dinner award for her menu and the delicious food - well done Debs!

Beautifully sunny morning at Carron Crag in Grizedale Forest.
Grizedale Beck is normally a small gentle beck but on Sunday it changed into white water rapids! Feel so sorry for the locals who have suffered such awful flooding - it makes a few hours without electric very trivial.
