Good service, helpful advice and a very quick turnaround.

As for the bike - it withstands the rough North Face Route, and is in good nick. Had a few issues selecting certain gears and had some grinding sounds in the very low gears. Would be fixed by a quick service of the derailleur, but all in all good quality.

Paid the extra for a 'premium' mountain bike to go on the north face trail. They gave me a bike that was actually dangerous to ride it was in such bad condition.

The cogs weren't aligned correctly causing the chain to come off at least 10 times. One of which caused me to come off the bike and into a tree. The derailer was snapped. And most worryingly the front cog didn't even have the screws tightened so consequently came loose.

When hiring a bike it is expected it is received in riding condition. Especially if your the only one in a group of 14 having to hire after tours was stolen.

Additionally when I returned to the shop after walking 3 miles with the bike to return it and having my day and time wasted the 'manager' was very rude and didn't even offer a breath of an apology!

Absolute shambles. Day ruined. Bloody and bruised leg. And shoddy manager customer service

Amazing views once you reach the top! Friendly staff. We hired 4 standard mountain bikes, three were very good, one had only one brake that worked and the right hand gears were not working properly so check them carefully before you leave the centre. The trail is quite hilly with a 40 minute climb to start - this was a challenge for the two energetic 11 year olds in our group. The trail is well sign posted with coloured markers; we did the green trail which was about 10.5 miles and took about 2 hours including a brief stop for lunch. Great day out as long as you are prepared for the hills which are much more challenging than the forestry commission parks we have been to elsewhere.

Booked a couple of bikes. 15 year old sports mad son wanted to go "proper" mountain biking. Hired him a standard premium bike but being slightly over 40 and slightly out of shape I hired one of their premium electric bikes. This levelled the playing field meaning father and son could have a great time and the son didn't have to wait for Dad after every hill. Highly recommend this.

Hired a few bikes from here now and it's always been a good service. I delt with Katie yesterday who was very helpful and gave me a lot of product knowledge and opinions on the remaining bike options I'm faced with. After test riding the Levo she took my details and vowed to get the remaining models in on a small size for me to test ride soon. Happy customer and plan to buy from here for local support after purchase.

Great, helpful bike hire centre. Staff clearly know what they're talking about and will give you all the advice you need before you head out to tackle the excellent trails the forest has to offer. Highly recommended.

User

Always friendly and helpful - irrespective of whether you are immediately going to spend money with them. You naturally do of course

Superb trails to explore and a good shop with friendly staff.
