Great service. Suits given to us 5 days before and did not have to be returned until 2 days later. Great quality suits.

Hired 10 suits for our wedding in December. Suits were beautiful slim fitting dinnersuits. The service in store was fantastic and friendly. We collected the suits the week before our wedding, with just a few items to swap as some of the guys were not measured at the shop. Overall a fabulous service and would highly reccommend!

We were told the suits would be ready 5 days before the wedding but weren't available until the day before the wedding. Cravats were still missing and the lining of my father’s jacket was torn.

My husband finally collected the missing items the day before the wedding which in itself caused a lot of unwanted stress for my husband, having to drive around dropping off suits.

20 minutes before we were due to leave for the church my dad went to put on his suit and noticed the seam down the side of the trousers was open. I was so frustrated that I got straight on the phone to Groom Liverpool and spoke with someone that was so incompetent and unapologetic! All she did was promise me that someone would phoneme the following day to discuss the problems and no one did!

A number of the shirts had faulty elastic and weren’t keeping the collar together and were falling open.

As for the 2 children's suits, some of the shirt buttons were missing they had marks on the shirts and the cravats weren't hemmed properly. I kept noticing frayed edges throughout the day.

One of the usher’s suits was so ill fitting (particularly the trousers) that he had to go home and change and then return to the wedding in his own clothes.

Since receiving my wedding pictures it is clear that the cravats were 2 different shades! I understand that the colour may change slightly but you would expect that they were at least all the same shade! This is very irritating considering we paid you £1,405.00 for their services.

To conclude we felt that no way what so ever did Groom meet the standards they claim to offer and we were very annoyed with the service we received! My husband and I submitted a complaint to Groom Head Office and almost 2 months later we only received £150 compensation. They refused to increase their offer and for this reason it makes me feel that this sort of complaint happens often that it doesn’t phase them.

Not sure how it rates 4 stars!! - if could award Zero star that would be too high! Hired 11 morning suits for a wedding in Aug 2014. Customer service is non-existent and quality of suits when they did eventually turn up (some were only being delivered to the shop the day before the wedding!) were quite shabby/poor quality with hems not sewn properly, buttons hanging off...shirts were marked or had been laundered so much that colour was more of a grey shade than white. We'd initially been very hopeful..,and were due to collect all suits, etc a week ahead of the wedding but when we turned up at the shop we were presented with a jumble of crumpled, mismatched outfits...different colour trousers, etc miles away from the 'pristine' suits that people had tried on back in May... the disinterested, unhelpful assistant could not even say when or if the full outfits would be ready/delivered...we were very concerned about what our guests would wear but when we raised our concerns we were told we ought to expect this level of service as it's a busy time for weddings! Furthermore, if we wanted to complain the MD was not contactable! Despite attending numerous appointments for 'fittings' between Feb and July... guests were now being told a week before the wedding that measurements were again needed but at that stage you have no chance of organising other suits so have to more or less go with what you are being given!...they could not guarantee whether we would get the sizes we needed as this was now only days before the wedding...the general approach seems to be for the assistant to periodically measure you but then on the day you are due to collect to try and palm you off with whatever jackets and trouser size that they have available even if it is clearly the wrong size, for example, one jacket measurement taken on 3 occasions was 38 but there was never a 38 size available so you are then offered a variety of other jacket sizes - could be a 36, could be a 44 and with the assistant telling you each time 'it looks fine'! My advice go somewhere else but if you've already signed up then stand your ground...you may have a bit of a fight to get the size you want/need and may have to keep returning to the shop but better to do that than face what some of our guests/our best man had...people ended up with oversized waistcoats, trousers that were inches too short but as these were only handed over on the day before the wedding with no chance then of getting the right length..the only option was to accept and end up wearing trousers very low down on hips so his ankles didn't show! We decided against wearing many of the off white shirts which meant a dash to the shops on the day before to buy new 'white' collar dress shirts...but it looked so much better...really wish we had not used Groom...was such a stressful experience. Please be aware that the 'pristine' suits you try on when signing up for the hire may not be the actual suits/outfits that are handed over to you!
hahanded handed youcollect!

My boyfriend Gary bought his suit for my sister's wedding at the Groom store in Liverpool and it was just perfect. I was a bridesmaid and as we were in all the photos and sitting at the top table, his suit had to fit in with the colour scheme and go with my dress. Victoria was really helpful and she took the stress out of getting Gary sorted for the wedding.
